This classic work consists of 170 points* on different aspects of the Muslim creed, with quotes from the the Qur.aan, the Sunnah, the Companions and later scholars. The author was an imaam who stood firm in defending this creed in the face of enmity and opposition from the people of innovation, may Allaah have mercy on him.

- 09. There is no Qiyaas (Analogy) in the matters of Aqeedah (Creed and Belief)
- 10. Al-kalaam (theological rhetoric), arguing, debating and disputing are newly introduced affairs
- 11A. Speculative speech (kalaam) about Allaah, the Most High, is an innovation and misguidance
- 11B. Our Lord is the First without any beginning, and the Last without any end
- 12. No one says regarding the Attributes of the Lord, the Most High, “How?” and “Why?” except for one who doubts about Allaah
- 13. The Qur’aan is the Speech of Allaah and It is NOT Created
- 14.The true believers will see their Lord on the Day of Resurrection openly with their eyes
- 15. Eemaan in the Balance (Meezaan) on the Day of Resurrection
- 16. Eemaan in the punishment of the grave & in Munkar and Nakeer
- 17. Eemaan in the Hawd (Reservoir/Lake) of Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ
- 18. Eemaan in the Intercession of Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ on the Day of Resurrection
- 19. Eemaan in the Siraat (the Bridge) over the Hellfire
- 20. Eemaan in the Prophets and in the Angels
- 21. Paradise and Hellfire are true and are already Created. They will never pass away
- 22. Eemaan in al-Maseehud-Dajjaal (the False Messiah)
- 23. Eemaan in the descent of Eesaa ibn Maryam
- 24. Eemaan is belief of the heart, expression upon the tongue & action upon the limbs. It increases & decreases
- 25A. The Best of this Ummah and all Umam after the Prophets is Aboo Bakr then `Umar then `Uthmaan
- 25B. The Best of the Companions after the Khulafaa
- 25C. Refraining from Abusing the Companions
- 26. Hearing and obeying the Rulers in that which Allaah loves & is pleased with
- 27.The Hajj and fighting Jihaad along with the ruler continue. Jumu’ah Prayer behind faasiq Ruler is allowed
- 28.Al-Khilaafah (the Caliphate) remains within the Quraysh
- 29.Whoever rebels against one of the Muslim rulers, then he is one of the Khawaarij
- 30.It is not permissible to fight the ruler, nor to rebel against him even if he oppresses
- 31.It is permissible to fight the Khawaarij if they attack the property, persons or families of the Muslims
- 32A. There is to be no obedience to any human in disobedience to Allaah
- 32B. Bearing witness of Paradise or of the Fire for a specific individual without a proof
- 33. Stoning (the adulterer or adulteress) is True
- 34. Wiping over the leather socks is Sunnah
- 35. Shortening the prayer whilst upon a journey is Sunnah
- 36. Breaking the Fast during the Journey is from the Concessions of the Shar’iah
- 37. Praying in Trousers or Pants
- 38. Hypocrisy in Belief (Nifaaq I’tiqaadee) and Hypocrisy in Action (Nifaaq ‘Amaliy)
- 39.This world is an abode of Eemaan and Islaam
- 40.Funeral Prayer (Janaazah) over the Muslims who committed Major Sins
- 41.No Muslim Exits Islaam Unless He Perpetrates That Which Nullifies It
- 42.The Attributes of Allaah & The Creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jama’ah regarding them
- 43.Whoever claims that he saw his Lord in this world then he is a disbeliever in Allaah
- 44.It is obligatory upon the Muslim to avoid reflecting upon the Self of Allaah

- 52.To Make one’s Deeds Purely and Sincerely for Allaah
- 53.To be pleased and satisfied with the decree of Allaah
- 54-56. Glad tidings to those who have patience when they are struck by calamity
- 57-58. Know that whatever befalls you was never going to miss you
- 59.Four takbeers are to be said for the Funeral Prayer
- 60.Along with Every Raindrop there is an Angel who descends from the sky with it
- 61.Allaah’s Messenger spoke to those thrown into the abandoned well on the day of Badr
- 62.Allaah causes afflictions to strike the believers in order to purify them or to multiply their reward
- 63.Allaah rewards the martyr (shaheed) for his martyrdom
- 64.When children are afflicted by anything in the life of this world then they feel pain
- 65.Know that No One will enter Paradise except by the mercy of Allaah
- 66.Do not Deny or Speak against the Narrations of the Messenger of Allaah
- 67.Al-Qadr (Pre-decree) is Allaah’s secret. Don’t Argue or Dispute about it
- 68.Eemaan (True Faith) in al-Israa w’al Mi`raaj
- 69.The souls of the martyrs are within the bellies of green birds in Paradise
- 70-71.Eemaan in al-Fitnatu fil-Qabr (The Trial in the Grave)
- 72.To have Eemaan that it is Allaah Who Spoke to Moosaa on Mount Toor
- 73.Know that Evil and Good occur by the Pre-Decree and Pre-Ordainment of Allaah
- 74.Al-Aql (intellect) is not acquired, rather it is a fadl (favour) bestowed by Allaah
- 75.Allaah has favoured some of the servants over others. He has done so justly
- 76.Ad-Deenu an-Naseehah (The Religion is Sincerity)
- 77.Affirmation of Attributes of Allaah
- 78.Tidings at the Point of Death
- 79.Affirmation of Ar-Ru’yah (Seeing Allaah in the Hereafter)

- 101B.The Aggressions of the Jahmaiyyah During the Reign of Ma’moon and After
- 102.There has never been any Heresy (Zandaqah) except from the ignorant ones
- 103.There will always be a group of people upon the Truth and the Sunnah
- 104.Knowledge is not in merely narrating a great deal and books
- 105.The Religion is Not Based Upon Ideas, Opinions, False Analogy & Interpretation
- 106.The Truth, the Sunnah & the Jamaa’ah
- 107.Success Lies in Clinging to the Sunnah and the Way of the Early Generations
- 108.Whoever Follows Innovation has Rejected the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger

- 110.The Roots of Innovations are Four (The Foundations of the Innovated Sects are Four)
- 111.If the people did not say anything for which there is no proof, there would be no innovation
- 112.The way a Person may fall into Disbelief (Apostasy) & Beware of extremism in the Religion
- 113A.Excellent Generations
- 113B.Upon you is to affirm, to submit, to surrender to & to be pleased with what is contained in this book
- 113C.Whoever Rejects anything from the Sunnah has Rejected all of the Sunnah
- 114.When Fitnah occurs, Remain in your House
- 115.The Stars Have No Control Over Anything
- 116.Beware of Theological Rhetoric (kalaam) and its people
- 117.Adhere to the Narrations (Athaar) and to the People of Narrations
- 118.Al-Ibaadah (Worship) centers on three things: Fear, Hope & Love
- 119.Beware of Sitting with the Soofees
- 120.Allaah has ordered the whole of creation to worship Him
- 121.To withhold Regarding the Fighting between ‘Ali and Mu’aawiyah
- 122.The Wealth of a Muslim is not Permissible to take except for that which he gives willingly
- 123.Earning one’s own living, rather than being dependent upon the people
- 124.Do not Pray behind a Jahmee
- 125.If you come to the Grave of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, Greet them with the Salaam
- 126.Commanding the Good and Forbidding the Evil is Obligatory
- 127.Greetings of Salaam are to be given to all of Allah’s worshippers
- 128.Whoever abandons the Jumu’ah & congregational prayers in the mosque, without a valid excuse
- 129-130.Not intending Praying with the Imam & Khawarij’s way of Enjoining Good & Forbidding Evil
- 131.The blameless Muslim is the one from whom nothing suspicious becomes apparent
- 132.Hidden Inner knowledge (ilmul-Baatin) is Innovation and Misguidance
- 133.There is No Marriage without a Guardian
- 134.Do not speak about the Companions except good
- 135-136.If you hear a man Attacking or Rejecting the Narrations then doubt his Islam
- 137. If you see a man making supplication against the ruler, then know that he is a person of desires
- 138.Do not say anything about any of the Mothers of the Believers except good

- 140.The Lawful is clear and the Unlawful is clear, but between them are certain Doubtful things
- 141.Don’t think of a Muslim except good unless he displays something contrary
- 142.Rāfidī, Nāsibī, Jahmī, Khārijī, Mu’tazilī, Qadarī
- 143.The Statements of Abdullah Ibn Al-Mubaarak rahimahullaah
- 144..Then know that he is a Person of the Sunnah
- 145.If you see a Man sitting along with the People of Desires
