2019 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field USTFCCCA All-Region
NEW ORLEANS – All-Region honors for the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of the region’s top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season.
A total of 1831 honors were handed out to USTFCCCA member institutions on Monday, which included 926 to men’s programs and an additional 905 to women’s programs.
No program earned more combined All-Region honors than Grand Valley State. The Lakes brought home a total of 61 All-Region nods with the women accounting for 39 of them.
Angelo State tallied the second most combined All-Region honors with 46, followed by Southern Connecticut State with 42. Lee University had 39, while Mount Olive and West Texas A&M each brought home 38.
No conference took home more All-Region honors than the Northeast-10 with 185. It was a close battle for second between both the Lone Star Conference (145) and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (144).
