April 12, 2024 9AM Update:
  • Debris Pickup is now in progress, Public Works crews have been brought in from around the parish to aid in the removal process. Crews will be making multiple passes so residents will have time to place their debris curbside.  Residents are asked to please separate debris by type along the side of the roadway.  Keep debris at least 4 feet away from any utility boxes, mail boxes, and fences.

  • President Mike Cooper has signed Executive Order PPMC-2024-2 executed today, regarding waiving applicable building permit fees due to the effects of the April 10, 2024 sever weather event.
  • Fritchie park in Slidell is the distribution hub for meals, tarps and disaster related supplies.
  • Any residents that purchased food with their SNAP benefits and needs to replace it due to loss can visit dcfs.la/replace for more information.

  • All St. Tammany Parish Government Offices are closed due to the impact of the severe weather event.
    • To speak with someone for more information please call 985-898-2359.
  • Roughly 25,000 citizens remain without power at this time. Utility crews are in our community to restore power, but it may take a few days to fully restore. 
  • We are continuing to monitor river levels, although all of them have either crested or are expected to crest before getting to levels of concern.
  • Most, if not all of the parish roads have been cleared of debris. The debris removal process is now in the planning stage. We are asking all citizens to please place debris by the curb and separate it as shown in the below DEQ graphic.

  • Damage assessment crews are in the field, but we are asking our citizens to please self-report damage. All impacted citizens should report storm damage BY CLICKING THE BUTTON BELOW.
