2017-18 - Becker competed in three events for the Lions as a true freshman ... Finished the season with an 80.5 average over eight rounds of golf ... had his top finish at the JR Watkins Invitational. 

Prior to Southern - Becker comes to Southern after a successful high school career at Augusta HS in Augusta, Kan. Becker lettered all four years for the Orioles and qualified all four years for the Kansas State High Schools Activities Association (KSHSAA) Class 4A State Championships. On Monday May 22nd 2017, Becker won the KSHSAA Class 4A individual title after a three man playoff with a score of 75. Becker was also a three time letter winner in basketball for the Orioles.

Personal - Jake is the son of Eric and Angie Becker and is the youngest of three. He plans to major in business while at Southern.
