Part One lays the foundation for understanding anxiety and stress and how your fear response system works, how it perpetuates itself unless you give it a different ‘operating system,' and that you have two primary drives that dominate your emotional life. True emotional health invites you to both reduce your fear response system but also actively cultivate your calm and connection system through the practice of heart-based emotions. This session introduces the beginning tools to subdue your fear response.
PART 2 - THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF HEART-BASED EMOTIONS
Part two introduces the power of heart-based emotions in actively cultivating your calm and connection system. It presents tools to improve calm in your every-day life, and deep practices to transform your mind/body complex over-all.
PART 3 - THE TRANSFORMATIVE EFFECTS OF AUTHENTIC GRATITUDE
Part three focuses on the practice of gratitude in cultivating calm and connection and reducing loneliness. It shows the pre-requisites for gratitude practice to be effective, walks you through written activities to nurture gratitude in your own life, and offers a guided practice to lead you into the experience of deep gratitude.
PART 4 - THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWERS OF SELF-EMPATHY AND COMPASSION
Part four introduces self-empathy and self-compassion as a true path to healing emotional difficulties. It walks you through written exercises and guided practices to deeply embody self-empathy and compassion and uses memory re-scripting to heal past and troublesome emotional patterns. It culminates with a guided practice to lead you through your own memory re-scripting.
PART 5 - CONSTRUCTIVE HOPE VERSUS WISHFUL THINKING
Part five lays the foundation for cultivating true hope. It distinguishes between true hope and wishful thinking and provides the necessary stepping-stones for nurturing transformative hope. It provides written activities to define the clarity of what you DO want instead of only focusing what you DON’T want, and helps you develop the ‘agency and pathways’ to get there. Finally, it invites you into a deep guided practice that includes a visualization of yourself in the situations you hope to manifest.
