Tuesday, April 23 Practice
We hold practice at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. This means we’ll be practicing tomorrow, Tuesday April 23rd. The range will open about 5:00 p.m. Looks like it’ll be a nice evening. We typically shoot the equivalent of four stages at each practice. Of course, we’ll have a regular weekly Friday practice later in the week.

As always, there’s no time like the present to get that registration in. Click here for more information on how you can register.

On related notes:
We are now offering advance online registration and payment: Illowa Irregulars tested a new online registration for our April match. It worked ell and we plan to roll it out for future monthly matches. Stay tuned for more information. Of course, you’re as welcome as ever to just show up at the registration desk.
2024 Illinois State Championship: Registrations continue to flow in. Sunday’s Match – Top 10 Reasons to come out tomorrow. #1 is something NEW.
As you can see in the images below, our intrepid crew spent the morning preparing for tomorrow’s match. Frankly, it was up on the range this morning, and tomorrow is supposed to be a little better. If you’re on the fence about attending the match because of the chill, you may want to put that thought out of your mind and join us. It’ll be a nice day.
Here are the top 10 reasons you should come out to Illowa Irregulars’ April 21 match tomorrow:
- 10. Tomorrow supposed to be a little warmer than today
- 9. The skies are supposed to be mostly sunny
- 8. The trees are just beginning to leaf out
- 7. The grass is getting green (we even had to mow)
- 6. Badlands Charlie, Lightning McQueen, and Log Splitter Chris painted all the targets
- 5. Rootin Tootin and Chancy Shot towed the rifle/pistol and target trailers up and down the range
- 4. Chancy Shot, Popcorn Kelly, and Cowboy Rick staked the targets down
- 3. Wicker Nash, Justice James Newton, Mountain Man Champ, and Daisy Ann and several previously mentioned helped put out the targets, carpets, and shotgun ropes
- 2. Badlands Charlie wrote some really fun stages (Click here to download the stages.)
AND the number one reason you should come tomorrow: To be part of our first group of cowboys to use new ON-LINE REGISTRATION OPTION for monthly matches.
Yes, you read that correctly. We are now accepting on-line registrations for our monthly matches (for those that would like to use it). If you want the convenience of registering online and skipping the paperwork then fumbling around for $15 at the registration table, here’s your chance.
We know electronic registration won’t be for everyone so no worries if you don’t want to use it. We’re still very happy to take registrations on match day (and we always will be).
If the online option interests you, Click here to register and pay for Sunday, April 21, 2024’s match.
