2019-20 Season (Medical Redshirt)
Redshirt season, will enter 2020-21 as a redshirt-senior in his final season of eligibility. Played in first game of the season at Purdue, before deciding to sit 2019-20 season to rehab from injury. Granted 5th year from NCAA.

2018-19 Season (Junior)
  • Only GB player to start in all 38 games
  • Named to CIT All-Tournament Team

Hemphill, a 2018 Suncoast Conference All-Conference First Team selection, scored in double figures 27 times during the season, including scoring a career-high 29 points (14-of-22 shooting from the field) in a win over IMG (Jan. 5). Hemphill recorded a pair of double-doubles this season and pulled down 5-plus boards on 22 occasions. The high-flying Hemphill ranked third on the team with 14.2 points per game and shot a team-best 60.4 percent from the field, which ranked 43rd in the country.

"Tank comes from a very outstanding junior college program at Florida Southwestern State, led by a great coach in Marty Richter. Similar to the rest of our recruiting class this year, Tank brings another level of athleticism and ability to our roster," Darner said. "We're excited to have Tank join our program and we are really looking forward to working with our group this season and beyond."

He was given the nickname Tank at a young age, because was a big baby. Hemphill was a track and field standout at Michigan City High School and once cleared 6 feet, 11 inches in the high jump. He finished second in the event at the Indiana High School Athletic Association state track finals as a senior.

"I'm excited to be a part of the team. I love to play fast and get up and down and pressure on defense. Coach Darner's RP40 (was a big reason in choosing Green Bay)," Darner said. "I'm a piece to the puzzle to get us to the tournament next year."

"ShanQuan was one of the original group that we brought in to start our program," FSW coach Marty Richter said in a statement. "He was instrumental to our success this season, and his athleticism and scoring ability will translate well with how Green Bay plays."
