Project Overview
This project will replace the existing structure carrying NY Route 79 over the Chenango River in the Towns of Barker and Fenton in Broome County on a new alignment.

Project Status
The current status of the project is In Development.
The Bid Opening is expected to be in Fall 2021.
Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2022.
Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2023.

The project cost is approximately $11,650,000.

METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO)

The MPO associated with this project is the Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study.

MPOs are established for urban areas with populations of 50,000 or more, and are responsible for ensuring that federal-aid transportation projects in the metropolitan area result from a continuing, comprehensive and cooperative transportation planning process.
