Obama DOJ’s Political Criminal Prosecution Comes to an End!

(San Francisco, California, August 6, 2020). Just minutes ago, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ("Ninth Circuit") affirmed the dismissal by the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, of the indictment which the Obama Department of Justice ("Obama DOJ") had brought against Cliven Bundy, his sons Ammon and Ryan, and Ryan Payne, one of many peaceful protesters who also was indicted, after the successful standoff of federal government agents who threatened the Bundys' lives, killed their cattle, assaulted family members and perpetrated tyrannical executive power over them. The story is well known and can be relived in detail by going to www.clivenbundydefensefund.com.

Larry Klayman, the lawyer for Cliven Bundy, and in other cases other family members, had this to say:

"My client Cliven Bundy, having been forced to endure the emotional distress and physical harm of being arrested and denied bail, being thrown in solitary confinement for no valid reason, denied right of counsel and a speedy trial and then, after about two years of illegal incarceration, had to endure a sham and fraudulent trial, where exculpatory evidence was hidden, prosecutors lied to the presiding judge, and where a whistleblower came forward to disclose that there had been a 'kill list' by some agents of the Bureau of Land Management on the heads of the Bundys, is now relieved that this nightmare is over. As Cliven's and the family's lawyer I too am relieved that justice has finally been done.

"However, there are forces of the left who still want to harm the Bundys, such as the Center for Biological Diversity, funded by George Soros. I, for one, stand by my clients and will do everything in my power to protect them from these radical and hate filled leftist groups and forces."

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A lawyer for rancher Cliven Bundy says he'll appeal a Nevada judge's refusal to declare that the federal government has no jurisdiction over public land in the state.

Washington-based activist attorney Larry Klayman said Wednesday the state Supreme Court should be as upset as him that Clark County District Court Judge Jim Crockett derided Bundy's request as "delusional."

Klayman says judges aren't allowed to demean litigants.

A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by cattle rancher Cliven Bundy seeking to have the 59 million acres of federal land within Nevada's borders declared state property, calling the legal argument "simply delusional."

Nevada Circuit Court Judge Jim Crockett ruled that the federal-versus-state lands issue had been decided in three previous cases involving Mr. Bundy, who has feuded with the federal government over his grazing allotment for 20 years.

"It is simply delusional to maintain that all public land within the boundaries of Nevada belongs to the state of Nevada," said Judge Crockett in the April 1 ruling, which was made public Tuesday.

A Nevada state judge rebuffed rancher Cliven Bundy's latest bid to force the federal government to cede control of 56 million acres of public lands in the Silver State, characterizing the lawsuit as "simply delusional."

In an eight-page ruling, Nevada state Judge Jim Crockett rejected Bundy's assertion that only individual states — rather than the U.S. government — can own public lands.

"It is simply delusional to maintain that all public land within the boundaries of Nevada belongs to the State of Nevada," Crockett wrote in the decision dated April 1 and published yesterday.

Bundy's lawsuit had asked the court to declare all public lands within the state, including those lands surrounding his Bunkerville ranch where he grazed his cattle without federal permits for decades, as "property of the People of Nevada and Clark County."

But Crockett pointed to a trio of federal court rulings that have rejected Bundy's arguments against federal ownership of public lands.

"It is painfully obvious that the claims asserted by Bundy in the instant matter rest upon a fundamentally flawed notion advanced by Bundy since 1998 regarding ownership of federal public lands in Nevada," Crockett wrote.

Attorney Larry Klayman, who represents Bundy along with Nevada-based attorney Craig Mueller, told E&E News that his client will appeal the decision.

"We'll take it all the way to U.S. Supreme Court if necessary," Klayman said. "I don't understand why a judge would not want to protect the interests of the people of Clark County who own that land and not be in the hip pocket of the federal government."

Klayman also slammed Crockett's commentary in the ruling.

"The fact that he would make a statement and call my client 'delusional,' that is unnecessary," Klayman said. "A judge is to be respectful against litigants."

Klayman added that Crockett did not use similar language when he first made his ruling in oral remarks in a hearing at the Las Vegas court last month.

"He's playing to the crowd," Klayman asserted. "That is contrary to the code of judicial ethics. We have legitimate arguments. We were respectful to him. We would have hoped he had been respectful to us."

Klayman also questioned the judge's rejection of Bundy's case based on "preclusion," or the application of prior court rulings against Bundy's challenges to federal ownership of public lands.

"It's a new issue here," Klayman argued, pointing to the 2016 establishment of the Gold Butte National Monument near Mesquite, Nev., where some of Bundy's cattle graze.

But Center for Biological Diversity Executive Director Kierán Suckling praised the ruling, which was issued in response to a motion from the nonprofit. The environmental group intervened in the case on behalf of Clark County and the state of Nevada (E&E News PM, Jan. 24).

"The judge was being kind to call these claims delusional," Suckling said. "Bundy's ridiculous legal theories have wasted the court's time and taxpayer money. Hopefully this unequivocal ruling will encourage Bundy to finally pay his grazing fees and bring this nonsense to a close. I'm not holding my breath, though."

Bundy came to national prominence in 2014, when the Bureau of Land Management attempted to seize his cattle for auction to settle more than $1 million in unpaid grazing fines and trespass fees.

An armed standoff between supporters of the Nevada rancher — including anti-government advocates like the militia organization Three Percenters — and federal agents ensued, and BLM abandoned its efforts to seize the animals.

Bundy and his supporters, including several of his sons, faced criminal charges stemming from the incident, but a federal judge declared a mistrial in that case in 2017 after finding that prosecutors had withheld key evidence from the defendants.

Nevada Chief Judge Gloria Navarro also dismissed that case with prejudice, which bars federal prosecutors from bringing a new trial against Bundy.

Federal prosecutors have asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to reconsider that ruling (Greenwire, March 11). Bundy had argued his continued prosecution would violate the Constitution.

In court documents, federal prosecutors emphasize that Bundy continues to "unlawfully graze his cattle on federal land" (Greenwire, Feb. 7).

Bundy ended his grazing contracts with BLM in the early 1990s and has often described his decision to "fire" federal land managers.

Federal officials sued Bundy in 1998 over his subsequent nonpayment of grazing fees and won a judgment that required Bundy to pay a trespass fine of $200 per day per animal that remained grazing on federal lands after that decision.

But BLM officials have not attempted a new seizure of Bundy's cattle in the more than five years since the failed Bunkerville roundup.

The agency acknowledged in late 2017 that it was contemplating a new roundup but has not acted since that time. A spokeswoman did not immediately respond to requests for comment today (Greenwire, Nov. 20, 2017).

Judge throws out Cliven Bundy's "delusional" and "fundamentally flawed" lawsuit

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A Nevada judge threw out Cliven Bundy's lawsuit Monday saying that all of Nevada's public lands belong to the state, and that includes where he has been illegally grazing his cattle for a few decades.

Bundy sued the State of Nevada, Clark County, and the Center for Biological Diversity because he was seeking declaratory relief for three causes of actions:

A declaration of the court that all public lands within the State of Nevada, including the federal Bunkervile grazing area where Bundy was grazing his cattle without a federal permit, are the property of the People of Nevada and Clark County, not the federal government. He did this because according to Bundy, such lands were conveyed to the State of Nevada upon statehood and are no longer owned by the United States.

We Need Your Strong Financial Support for the Good of the Nation!

Dear Patriot and Friends of Freedom:

The "Deep State" federal government, more tyrannical than even King George III's British monarchy in the years, months and days leading up to the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, and the ensuring revolution, will not give up! Undaunted by even the dismissal of its indictments of Cliven Bundy, his sons Ryan, Ammon, Mel and Dave, along with other peaceful protesters who used their constitutional and God-given right to bear arms to stand down Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and FBI goons who threatened the family with death if they did not turn over their cattle and abandon their Bunkerville ranch, our so-called Department of Justice (DOJ) and the same U.S. Attorney's office which hid exculpatory evidence, lied to the court, suborned perjury, and threatened whistleblower Larry Wooten (who revealed that there was a "kill list" on the Bundys' heads), are incredibly appealing to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, a very leftist bench.

Their goal: to have the Bundy's retried, convicted, sentenced and put away for life — that is after having already been falsely imprisoned for two years while they awaited their first trial. The reason: One should never question or oppose the power of the feds, or you will be crushed! This is the lesson that these vile prosecutors and their superiors in the DOJ want to mete out on We the People! Even with the election of President Donald Trump, DOJ is still controlled by hate-filled leftists, 97 percent of whom voted for Hillary Clinton and before that Barack Hussein Obama for president.

The secondary goal for this appeal is to cover the backsides ("cya") of the DOJ prosecutors who were caught red-handed committing crimes in obstructing justice. They hope that the equally leftist Ninth Circuit will overturn the dismissal of the indictments and make rulings that let them off the legal hook, as their careers, at least in theory, are in jeopardy. I previously filed ethics complaints against them to have them disbarred from practicing law ever again, as well as prosecuted for their crimes!

The DOJ and its prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney's office in Nevada are truly evil, pure evil! But this is the world that we live in today: ordinary law-abiding and good folk like the Bundys and their supporters at Bunkerville are to have no rights in the face of oppressive federal power! We live in a socialist Godless state run by despots who feather their own nests at the expense of We the People! That explains how former Senator Harr Reid put President Obama and his DOJ, FBI and BLM up to trying to take away the land which the Bundy family has ranched for over 150 years and then attempted to sell it to Chinese environmental interests, with likely kickbacks to Reid and his son Rory, a corrupt downtown Las Vegas attorney and even Obama himself.

If we do not win this appeal and to do so will be hugely time-consuming and costly, the Bundys and the other peaceful protesters at Bunkerville will be subject to yet another trial. If they lose, they could be imprisoned for life.

THUS, THE STAKES ARE VERY HIGH AND WHAT IS AT STAKE IS NOT JUST THE BUNDYS BUT FREEDOM FOR THE REST OF US LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS WHO BELIEVE IN FIRST AMENDMENT AND SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS UNDER OUR SACRED CONSTITUTION.

In addition to my representation in this crucial appeal, I have also filed suit for Cliven to have the land upon which he and his family has ranched for over 150 years declared owned by the people of Nevada, not the feds. Because once a new Democratic president comes into office, the Democrats will send the Obama/Reid BLM and FBI goons back to finish the job that they were thwarted from accomplishing thanks to the successful standoff at Bunkerville.

This "land is our land," as the ancient Hebrews and Christians viewed the Holy Land under God's gift. "Well," as President Ronald Reagan used to say, the land in the west in particular, which is illegally claimed by the feds (over 85 percent in Nevada alone), belongs to the people, not the government. This claim by the feds is why and how the BLM and radical environmentalists have driven hundreds of ranchers out of business in recent years. If successful, this will extinguish a huge part of the American way of life.

AND THIS IS WHY CLIVEN NEEDS YOUR URGENT AND STRONG FINANCIAL SUPPORT, NOT JUST FOR HIM BUT FOR THE GOOD OF ALL THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN FREEDOM AND THE AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE!

PLEASE DONATE WITH AS BIG A GIFT AS YOU CAN AFFORD, BEFORE ALL IS LOST AND THE VISION OF OUR FOUNDING FATHERS IS TRASHED AND DESTROYED BY A RUNAWAY AND TYRANNICAL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT THAT IS EVEN TRYING TO TAKE DOWN PRESIDENT TRUMP!

AND PLEASE READ THE ENCLOSED ARTICLE ABOUT THE THREAT ALL OF THIS POSES! TIME IS SHORT!

God bless you and your loved ones this New Year!

And please rally the troops and donate to preserve freedom! Please also send this letter to fellow patriots so they can also join the cause of preserving liberty in our great nation!

Sincerely,

Larry Klayman, Esq.
Attorney for Cliven Bundy
And Founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch

P.S. PLEASE SEND A STRONG FINANCIAL GIFT TODAY. THE DOJ WILL FILE ITS FIRST APPELLATE BRIEF IN JUST A FEW DAYS SO WE NEED TO RAMP UP OUR DEFENSE IMMEDIATELY!

TIME IS SHORT!

Please Read This Letter to Support Our Continuing March to Justice!

Dear Patriot and Supporter:

Thanks to your steadfast support and our strong legal defense, last January 8, the despicable federal judge Gloria Navarro, the hand-picked hack of former corrupt and Mafia connected Senator Harry Reid, who the equally corrupt former President Obama nominated for the bench, who had previously thrown Cliven Bundy in solitary confinement, denied his speedy trial and right to counsel rights and committed other legal atrocities, was forced to dismiss the indictment of Cliven Bundy and his sons. She was compelled to do this not out the goodness of her heart — indeed she has no heart — but instead to save her own skin and what is left of her reputation, as the Obama Deep State's federal prosecutors, lead by the Acting U.S. Attorney Steven Mahre, had been caught, along with Bureau of Land Management ("BLM") and FBI agents to have participated in a conspiracy to destroy exculpatory evidence, lie under oath on the witness stand, and threaten the lives of — if not actually kill — the Bundy family. The BLM even had targets of the Bundys hanging on their office wall, along with a kill list! To make matters even worse, these so-called agents even disparaged the Mormon faith of the Bundys, mocking them as "retards" and sub-human. What was uncovered was the worst case in American history of flagrant, prosecutorial misconduct, so even this corrupt judge, like a rat fleeing a burning nest, had no choice but to dismiss the indictment.

In the meantime, just before the indictment was dismissed, Attorney General Jeff Sessions finally was also forced by me to conduct a review of this complete denial of constitutional rights for the Bundys and the other defendants. This resulted again because of your past support, as I not only had filed complaints with the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Professional Responsibility ("OPR") and Inspector General to have the Obama-Clinton Deep State prosecutors severely disciplined and eventually disbarred, but also to have justice finally done for this entire sad saga.

Despite this victory, we cannot rest on our laurels, because the forces of evil are still at work. In this regard, various rabid ultra-leftist environmental groups, stung by the dismissal of the indictment, have now pushed to have the BLM and FBI return to the Bundy ranch to force them off the land they have ranched for almost 150 years.

In addition, Congress is about to conduct hearings over the illegal and outrageous prosecutorial misconduct and the tyrannical actions of the BLM and FBI. I plan, as Cliven's attorney, to have him testify at the hearing, along with his sons. As there are many hateful and deranged leftist Democrat congressmen on the committee, we need to tell the real story of how the federal government does not own the land that Cliven and his family ranch on, but instead the people of the state of Nevada. This is crucial because the land belongs to the people of Nevada (as it does in Utah, Arizona, and other western states), and the federal government has no constitutional right to assert its unjustified power against We the People. The pretext for the attack on the Bundys and their cattle was to allegedly protect the desert tortoise, a completely manufactured scam. In fact, this creature lives off of cattle dung and thus there is no threat to its survival. Harry Reid and his corrupt son also wanted to take the land to reportedly sell to Chinese environmental interests, with Reid and his son likely getting illegal kickbacks.

To protect Cliven and his family's rights and to settle the issue of who owns the land once and for all, I also plan to file in the next days a complaint in Nevada state court for declaratory judgment. In this way, a state court and not a federal court judge — who previously made dishonest rulings — will hopefully declare that the land belongs to We the People and the Bundys, other ranchers and the public at large so they can use it for noble purposes. Ranching is the backbone of not just the west, but also the nation and I appreciate this as my family was in the meat packing business. Cliven, who I have come to know well and love, has a herd of about 400 head of cattle and it is a considerable source of food for our consumption. Interestingly, this herd accounts for about 400,000 hamburgers, had the cattle been processed.

Perhaps most important is that I am also preparing a complaint for malicious prosecution and civil rights violations to file against officials of the FBI, such as former Director James Comey, and the BLM, to finally bring about justice — as we cannot rely on the timid Attorney General Sessions to do the job. I am sure you agree that we cannot turn the other cheek, for if we do these federal law enforcement agencies will do this again. I am also enclosing my recent column explaining why we need to continue to push forward and support Cliven and his family, who are protecting not just their interests but also those of you and your loved ones.

Ladies and gentlemen, now that we have scored an initial success, we cannot and must not stop here! We the People need to turn the heat up and put these corrupt Obama Deep State prosecutors and their henchmen at the BLM and FBI away! What happened to the Bundys we have seen occur recently with President Trump — gross and outrageous abuse of federal law enforcement power for political and other nefarious evil ends. For this reason, I am also pushing to have Cliven and his family be invited by the president to the White House, as the president's support, which he has expressed before, is key if we are to end the continuing tyranny of the Obama-Clinton Deep State against all of us.

If this nation is to survive in these trying times, we need more Cliven Bundys, and if we do not support him and his family — who risked all for me and you — we will have forfeited the vision of our Founding Fathers and the great republic they conceived of and founded on July 4, 1776, in my birthplace of Philadelphia.

PLEASE DONATE GENEROUSLY TO CLIVEN AND HIS CAUSE, WHICH IS YOUR CAUSE TO PRESERVE THE NATION AND RID IT FROM THE LEFTIST AND "RAT-INFESTED VERMIN" OF THE OBAMA-CLINTON DEEP STATE. FOR IF THIS CAN HAPPEN TO CLIVEN AND HIS FAMILY, IT CAN HAPPEN TO ME, YOU AND OUR LOVED ONES.

LET'S GET THE JOB DONE NOW THAT WE HAVE THESE CRIMINALS ON THE RUN!

IT'S TIME TO FINISH THEM OFF!

God Bless You!

Yours in Freedom!

Larry Klayman, Esq.
Counsel for Cliven Bundy

P.S. THE TIME IS NOW! PLEASE RALLY TO THE CAUSE AND STRONGLY SUPPORT CLIVEN'S CONSTITUTIONAL QUEST FOR RENEWED FREEDOM FOR ALL OF US!

A federal appeals court has put a roadblock in front of the government's attempt to appeal a district judge's decision to throw out its case against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy on the grounds of prosecutorial misconduct.

Bundy and other family members were charged after an armed standoff at their ranch over grazing fees the government claimed they had not paid. The government confiscated some of the family's cattle, supporters from across the nation gathered and the standoff ensued. The feds eventually backed down.

But when the government put Bundy and others on trial for their actions, the case collapsed.

The Justice Department filed an appeal Tuesday of its devastating defeat against Cliven Bundy in the Nevada standoff, disputing the federal judge's decision last year to throw out the case based on prosecutorial wrongdoing.

The 88-page motion, filed with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, challenged Chief U.S. District Court Judge Gloria Navarro's blistering finding of "flagrant" misconduct, which prompted her to declare a mistrial in December 2017 and dismiss the charges a month later.

The federal government, even though caught "suborning perjury," will appeal the dismissal of a case against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, his sons and supporters over the 2014 armed standoff with Bureau of Land Management agents.

That's according to Bundy's lawyer, former Department of Justice attorney Larry Klayman, who pointed out to the government, apparently to no avail, the "gross injustice" of the case.

Klayman said on Wednesday: "The Department of Justice, which has sadly become known as the 'Department of Injustice,' is going ahead by with its appeal of the dismissal of the indictment a year ago, characteristically 'circling the wagons' to cover the dishonest and unethical tracks of Steven Mahre, Dan Schiess and other prosecutors in the office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada.

Three years before the impoundment of Cliven Bundy's cattle turned into an armed confrontation between anti-government groups and federal agents, the FBI made an assessment that the Nevada rancher personally was unlikely to be violent in the event of conflict. The agency suggested a novel solution to Bundy's 20 years of unpaid bills, one designed to put the dispute to rest: drop the fines he owed altogether.

The FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, based in Quantico, Va., determined in 2011 that the rancher was unlikely to comply with federal court orders to move his 900 animals off federal land, where they had been illegally grazing, because "he only has enough land to handle less than 100 head of cattle." Although the Bureau of Land Management was concerned that allowing Bundy to avoid paying federal grazing fees and fines could lead to violence, the FBI thought otherwise.

Bundy, from his home in Emmett, Idaho, says his priority now is spending time with his wife and six children. But remnants of the standoffs still bubble up each day.

"I'll always get someone that calls me," Bundy said at his home in mid-October, after catching up with a friend calling from federal prison. "Life has never, ever been the same -- in a good and a hard way. I think it'll take years and years to kind of dissolve."

And in many ways, he doesn't want it to dissolve. Bundy accepts speaking engagements across the West at conferences and rallies that touch on gun rights, environmentalism and agriculture -- some of them controversial. He often tells the stories of the standoffs and the subsequent trials. And, of course, he advocates the view that has come to be synonymous with the Bundy family: that the federal government has no authority to own or manage land in the states.

Never before in my career have I personally endorsed any candidate running for political office, other than myself when I ran for the U.S. Senate in the Florida Republican Party primary in 2004. As a general rule, with the exception of former President Ronald Reagan and his protégé the late Rep. Jack Kemp, former Rep. Bob Barr, as well as our current President Donald J. Trump, no one has ever excited me. Nor do I have much if any trust or respect for the overwhelming majority of other politicians, as they like to prance around Capitol Hill or in their homes states, pontificating, getting their faces on cable news to raise more money than what otherwise is stuffed into their pockets by lobbyists, but do little else. In short, the establishment political class in this country, both Republican and Democrat, think and act as if they are the equivalent of the British royal family. In reality, like the "royals," they simply take up space and generally, with few exceptions, are worthless wards of the state.

But now someone has emerged who is worthy of my support and who has actually demonstrated the courage to take on the tyrannical federal government in particular. His name is Ryan Bundy, and he is running for the governorship of the state of Nevada.

The suit , filed on Bundy's 46th birthday in federal court in the District of Columbia, alleges he was subjected to "malicious prosecution'' as retaliation for protecting the Bundy Ranch in April 2014 when federal authorities moved in to seize Bundy cattle that were grazing unlawfully after his father, Cliven Bundy, failed to pay grazing fees and fines for two decades.

Seeking Relief Against Federal Prosecutorial Injustice for Violations against Constitutional Rights

PRESS CONFERENCE ANNOUNCING COMPLAINT

Date and Time: Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 at 10:00 AM
Place: Below the Steps of Federal Courthouse
333 Las Vegas Boulevard
Las Vegas, Nevada 89101

(Las Vegas, Nevada, October 30, 2018). Ryan Bundy, candidate for Nevada Governor and his father, Cliven Bundy, will hold a press conference tomorrow, Wednesday, October 31, 2018, in front of the federal courthouse in Nevada where the fatally flawed indictment against them and other peaceful protesters, who had lawfully exercised their constitutional rights to freedom of speech and to keep and bear arms under the First and Second Amendments to successfully stand down a tyrannical federal government at Bunkerville, had been dismissed last January, 2018.

Incredibly, the U.S. Attorney's Office filed a notice to appeal this dismissal.

This indictment was dismissed because agents of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and U.S. Department of Justice were caught lying to the court and withholding evidence favorable to the Bundys -- thus attempting to wrongfully convict them with mandatory life sentences.

Even an "unfriendly" federal judge, Gloria Navarro -- who had been recommended to the bench by former Senator Harry Reid who, had branded the Bundys "domestic terrorists" -- and who had been called a friend of the prosecutors by the mainstream "Las Vegas Review Journal," found it necessary to throw the case out for the federal government's egregious misconduct.

Now Ryan Bundy is fighting back against federal overreach and corruption in the courts and seeking to not just protect the constitutional rights of the people of Clark County, where the Bundy Ranch is located, but all Nevadans and Americans. The lawsuit which he filed today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia will be distributed at the press conference, which will be attended by Ryan and Cliven and other members of the Bundy family, as well as supporters.

Mr. Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch and now Freedom Watch and a former federal prosecutor, and who filed the suit with the Bundys in his private capacity, will also be present to speak. He will also discuss another complaint which he filed for Cliven Bundy, seeking a declaration that the land upon which he and others ranch, live and do business is owned not by the federal government, but as of right by the people of Clark County and Nevada.

Plaintiffs Seek Justice and Over $60 Million in Damages

(Washington, D.C., August 9, 2018). Today, Larry Klayman announced the filing of a $60 million dollar lawsuit against federal prosecutors Steven Myhre, Daniel Schiess and Nadia Ahmed of the U.S. Attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as former FBI Director James Comey, former Director of the Bureau of Land Management ("BLM") Neil Kornze, the FBI, and BLM, who are alleged to have entrapped, manufactured, and used false evidence to indict peaceful protesters Rick Lovelien and Steven Stewart in the criminal prosecutions stemming from the 2014 successful standoff at the Bundy Ranch in Bunkerville, Nevada.

Lovelien and Stewart were charged for allegedly conspiring with Cliven Bundy and his sons to threaten federal agents at gunpoint during the armed standoff. The plaintiffs' complaint, which was filed in D.C. federal court (case no. 18-cv-01869) alleges that the prosecutors, without any evidence, falsely entrapped, charged and then maliciously prosecuted Lovelien and Stewart for obstruction of justice, along with several other demonstrably false charges.

Lovelien and Stewart were then denied bail by a Senator Harry Reid and Obama-appointed federal Judge Gloria Navarro and were left to "rot" in prison for two years before they were finally tried. During this time, the plaintiffs allegedly suffered great emotional distress, physical harm, and financial damage. The complaint also seeks punitive damages.

The jury ultimately acquitted both Lovelien and Stewart based on the complete lack of any evidence that they had committed any crime, much less conspired with Cliven Bundy and his sons.

Later, at the subsequent trial of Cliven Bundy and his sons, which not coincidentally resulted in a dismissal of their indictment, it was also revealed that the prosecutors had hidden exculpatory evidence and their witnesses from the FBI and BLM had lied, under oath, both at the Lovelien/Stewart trial and the Bundys' trial. Judge Navarro was thus forced to dismiss the supersedeas indictment against the Bundys. To this date, Attorney General Sessions has protected his prosecutors and taken no action to even discipline them. Recently, Sessions outrageously authorized them to appeal the Bundy dismissal.

Klayman had this to say:

"The politically motived malicious prosecutions against my clients and resulting cover-up (which also includes Cliven Bundy and his sons) violated every norm of due process and equal justice. I am confident that the defendants will be made to pay dearly by the jury. This punishment will help deter government prosecutorial misconduct, which has now been sanctioned even by our current Attorney General!"

Larry Klayman is shocked DOJ 'Deep Staters' still targeting rancher, sons

If you thought that the lying, deceit and outright corruption at my once proud alma mater, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), had reached an end point — with phony claims by Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Christopher Wray promising to clean up the mess that resulted in the "witch hunt" by Special Counsel Robert Mueller against President Donald Trump — think again!

Just yesterday, Sessions and equally corrupt prosecutors in Las Vegas, Nevada, along with appellate lawyers at "Main Justice" in Washington, D.C., incredibly had the shameless chutzpah to appeal the dismissal by Judge Gloria Navarro (who was not and remains no friend of Cliven Bundy, his family and the armed peaceful protesters who stood down a tyrannical government at Bunkerville in 2014) of the supercedeas indictment that resulted in an eventual criminal trial earlier this year after Cliven and his sons were imprisoned without bail for two years. The goal was to have the Bundys imprisoned for life.

(Las Vegas, Nevada, August 2, 2018). Today, the U.S Justice Department filed a notice of appeal seeking to preserve its "right" to seek a reversal of the dismissal by the Honorable Gloria Navarro of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada of the supersedeas indictment which named Cliven Bundy and two of his sons, among other persons, as defendants following the successful standoff at the Bundy ranch a number of years ago.

Larry Klayman, legal counsel for Cliven Bundy, upon learning of the government's notice of appeal, issued a statement on behalf of Mr. Bundy. Klayman is the founder of both Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch and a former federal prosecutor. He is a member of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit which will hear this appeal. The Ninth Circuit has already set a briefing schedule. Mr. Klayman had this to say:

"My client and friend Cliven Bundy is confident that the Ninth Circuit will affirm Judge Navarro's dismissal. It was based on gross prosecutorial misconduct by the Office of the U.S. Attorney in Las Vegas, as well as lying and deceit by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Land Management, all of which withheld and secreted exculpatory evidence that would have assured Mr. Bundy's and the other defendants' acquittal had the case been presented to the jury.

"That the prosecutors who committed and furthered this gross prosecutorial misconduct would now seek to file a notice of appeal underscores that my once proud alma mater, the U.S. Department of Justice, has become the Department of Injustice. My client is confident that he will prevail yet again and that real justice will be done!"

They also should be prosecuted for obstruction of justice, as they are not above the law," said lawyer Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch and Judicial Watch.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A mistrial in the federal prosecution of a family of ranchers who led an armed standoff against government agents prompted Attorney General Jeff Sessions to launch an investigation into the case and renewed calls for a broad review of U.S. attorneys in Las Vegas.

"You can bet that, suddenly, Sessions is asking, 'Who's our U.S. attorney in Nevada?'" Rory Little, a professor at the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, said Friday. "And somebody says, 'Well, we don't have one.' And they put it on a fast-track."

Larry Klayman's open letter to DOJ chief results in plan to review case

Dear Jeff:

As you know, shortly after your confirmation as attorney general early this year, we spoke by phone. During our conversation, I requested that you review the criminal prosecution of my client Cliven Bundy and by extension his sons Ryan, Ammon, Dave and Mel, as well as the other defendants. I explained that this prosecution was unwarranted, it apparently having been forced on former Attorney General Loretta Lynch by former President Barack Obama and then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. The latter had defamed the Bundy family as "domestic terrorists" after they and their supporters waged a successful peaceful armed protest, as a result of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) agents, many of whom were paid mercenaries and snipers, invaded Bunkerville with the intent and purpose of seizing their cattle, denying them their grazing and water rights, and thus forcing the Bundys off the land they had ranched for around 150 years.

Judge Navarro declared a mistrial in the trial of Cliven Bundy. Reports say Navarro faulted the prosecution for not turning over evidence to the defense. But the trail came under increased scrutiny after a scathing report came to light recently about the government's handling of the case.

Despite this ruling, there are many and varied issues that have come to the foreground as a result of the Bundy case and the ensuing armed stand off at Bunkerville. And so we bring you the following exclusive interview below:

AG Sessions orders examination of Bundy case after mistrial over prosecution bungling

By Valerie Richardson
The Washington Times
December 21, 2017

Attorney General Jeff Sessions stepped into the Bundy prosecution after Wednesday's mistrial, ordering a third-party examination of the case in light of the latest government snafu.

"The attorney general takes this issue very seriously and has personally directed that an expert in the [Justice Department's] discovery obligations be deployed to examine the case and advise as to the next steps," said Ian D. Prior, the department's principal deputy director of public affairs, in a late Wednesday statement.

The decision to intervene came after Chief U.S. District Court Judge Gloria Navarro declared a mistrial over the government's "willful failure to disclose information" to the defense, saying it would have been "impossible" for the four co-defendants to receive a fair trial.

A federal judge declared a mistrial Wednesday in the case involving Cliven Bundy and his two sons after she found prosecutors "willfully" failed to turn over evidence related to an armed standoff three years ago.

U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro pointed to several violations of the Brady rule — which requires prosecutors to disclose evidence that could be favorable to a defendant — and then dismissed the jury.

Acquitted of charges, 2 file damages for actions by authorities

It's not like the FBI isn't under fire already, with its unwillingness to refer charges against Hillary Clinton amid evidence she mishandled classified information and the investigation by mostly Clinton-supporting investigators into allegations the Trump campaign colluded with Russia in the 2016 election.

Now, there's another issue: Two men acquitted of charges in the 2014 Bunkerville, Nevada, standoff involving rancher Cliven Bundy are suing the FBI and former Director James Comey for "malicious prosecution," claiming the bureau presented false evidence in their case and destroyed exculpatory evidence.

Bundy Attorney Klayman Asking Court to Order Immediate Investigation and Dismissal of Bundy Prosecution By Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility and Inspector General Based on Destruction and Hiding of Exculpatory Evidence and Lying by Government

Go to www.ClivenBundyDefenseFund.org to Support Cliven Bundy

(Washington, D.C., December 18, 2017). Larry Klayman, the founder of both Judicial Watch and now Freedom Watch, today announced that a federal judge of the U.S. Court for the District of Columbia, the Honorable Rudolph Cantreras, will hold an expedited hearing on December 19, 2017, concerning allegations that the Acting U.S. Attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada, the FBI and the Bureau of Land Management have engaged in a concerted pattern and practice of destroying crucial evidence and lying under oath and otherwise, that severely prejudices the rights of Cliven Bundy and his sons, as well as the other defendants to a fair trial.

This hearing results from a complaint that Klayman, who is representing Cliven Bundy in his private capacity, filed, asking the Court (Case Number 1:17-cv-02429) to order that the Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) and Inspector General (IG) expeditiously investigate these allegations, which have arisen in the Las Vegas prosecution. Klayman had previously filed administrative complaints with the OPR and the IG, but they failed to act, obviously to cover up government wrongdoing. Sadly, this has become common place among these government agencies of late, in particular the Justice Department and its FBI.

Klayman had this to say about the upcoming hearing:

"As a former prosecutor of the Justice Department, I am sickened by the rank corruption that has infested both my alma mater and its FBI. It's time that this be stopped and the Cliven Bundy prosecution would be a good place to start. If Cliven, his sons and co-defendants cannot get a fair trial because evidence has been destroyed, hidden and lied about, then we no longer live in a democracy, and all of us are in grave jeopardy."

EMERGENCY Support REQUEST – Cliven's Rights Are YOUR Rights!
Please Support Cliven Bundy as the Politically-Motivated Obama-Reid Las Vegas Court FINALLY Brings Him to Trial! Cliven's Rights Are YOUR Rights – Make a Contribution to the Cliven Bundy Legal Defense Fund TODAY!

Cliven and Carol Bundy
I write to you with great urgency. Finally, Cliven Bundy is going to trial on October 30, 2017 and the trial, which is being presided over by a hostile handpicked political judge, chosen by the corrupt former Senator Harry Reid and nominated by former President Barack Hussein Obama, has my client within her crosshairs.

The federal judge in the District of Nevada, Gloria Navarro, has already tried to subvert prior trials of Cliven's co-defendants. Here is what even the mainstream Las Vegas Newspaper had to say about the judge's unconstitutional and unlawful misconduct and the Obama holdover prosecutors that want Cliven's head because he and his family stood up to an Obama and Reid run federal government:
The reason that Cliven was prosecuted in the first place, after a successful standoff at the ranch which his family has ranched for over 150 years, is because Obama, that reverse racist, and his then equally reverse racist attorney general Loretta Lynch, took offense when he referred to his plight, in being persecuted by the government, as similar to the "Negro" in the old South.

Cliven is not politically correct according to leftist standards, and indeed, even the great civil rights leader, Martin Luther King, referred to his people in this way as Negros. Thus, Cliven did nothing wrong, but the hateful likes of Obama and Lynch, who see racism around every corner, then indicted Cliven for simply standing down Obama's and Reid's goons, after patriots flocked to his family ranch, armed in self-defense as was their legal right under our Second Amendment.

They had seen this treatment on Fox News and other conservative media and were concerned that the family's life was being threatened, Cliven's sister Margaret assaulted and thrown to the ground, his dog viciously kicked and his cattle killed and buried in a secret mass grave – all designed to drive Cliven and his clan off the land, so Reid could sell it to the Chinese or other interests.

It is likely that Reid and his crooked lawyer son, Rory – who was negotiating this sleazy deal – another Las Vegas mafia type, would then get illegal kickbacks from the Chinese when they purchased the land.

This whole affair smells to high heaven, yet even our new attorney general Jeff Sessions has buried his head in the sand and won't end this persecution of Cliven and his family. This, as I explain in my recent column on www.wnd.com, is because Sessions himself is under investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller over phony allegations of Russian collusion, and Sessions is on the defensive since the left, as occurred with Cliven, has repeatedly and falsely accused him too of being a racist.

I personally spoke with Sessions months ago and he promised to review Cliven's prosecution, but now he is nowhere to be found. This is typical of the Washington DC Republican establishment that is afraid of its shadow every time the left brands them as racist against African-Americans and others.

And that is why we need your urgent and strong financial support. Cliven's trial will last 3 to 4 months and I must be there to fully participate in his defense. In this regard, I am currently before the Supreme Court, asking it to order Judge Navarro – that biased judge – to allow me to be counsel of record, as she has thus far illegally kept me out of the case, as she obviously fears that I will wage a powerful defense of Cliven.

Doing Obama and Reid's bidding – the persons Navarro owes for her judgeship – Navarro is doing all she can to get Cliven and the others convicted. For Cliven this would be a life sentence as he is already 71 years old. But even if the Supreme Court does not put politics aside and order her to let me in as counsel of record, I can and will play a major role in preparing Cliven for trial, interviewing witnesses, working with local counsel on trial strategy and other important matters such as defending Cliven's wife, Carol, who Judge Navarro outrageously has also suggested on more than one occasion should be criminally charged.

This is in line with Reid having called the entire Bundy family "domestic terrorists." In short, I must be there for months. This will be very costly.

This case is not just about Cliven and his family and the other defendants' right to bear arms in self-defense, but also about freedom of speech. The Bundys did not harm a hair on the head of any federal agent, yet the federal agents, and hired mercenaries, used brutal force to threaten their lives and beat the living heck out of them, not to mention destroyed their herd and thus the family's livelihood. And, the real kicker is that the federal government does not even own the land that the family ranches on, so the federal court of Judge Navarro does not have jurisdiction over Cliven. I am filing soon a civil suit to have a state court in Nevada to enforce its rights to the land, which was seized from it by the federal government to extort monies from ranchers such as Cliven, by charging them grazing fees and imposing absurd and unreasonable environmental restrictions which have driven hundreds of other ranchers out of business. Cliven and his family are one of the few ranchers left standing and they have been persecuted for standing up to an oppressive federal government then run by Obama and Reid, two hateful leftists who wanted to destroy ranching throughout the Western states.

Yesterday, it was Cliven Bundy and his family who were brutalized. Tomorrow it could be you and your loved ones if we do not prevail at trial and show the federal government a legal lesson.

The Obama/Clinton Deep State still controls the Justice Department and its compromised politically leftist prosecutors, and attorney general Sessions are nowhere to be found.

Thus, we need your urgent strong financial support to win an acquittal after a bruising 3-4 month trial, and by doing so not only save Cliven but also the vision of our Founding Fathers, who declared independence on July 4, 1776, to seek redress from a despot as bad as Obama and Harry Reid, King George III, who committed unspeakable acts. We fought a revolution to prevent this tyranny and now we must renew the republic by defeating the Deep State Obama and Reid tyrants at trial!

Finally, just in the last few weeks Cliven unsuccessfully tried to let go his local counsel because he did not adequately prepare for trial. I must now step in and work with the local counsel to prepare for trial and to wage a strong defense.

We must have the resources to fund our full and aggressive participation to prepare for and be at the trial. We need to ramp up quickly as the trial of the century is about to begin in just a few weeks, so PLEASE make a generous contribution of $25, $50, $75, $100 or more TODAY!

GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FOR HELPING CLIVEN AND HIS FAMILY PRESERVE OUR FREEDOMS AND LIBERTIES!

Yours in freedom,

Larry Klayman, Esq.

Last month a Las Vegas jury acquitted two men – Ricky Lovelien of Montana and Steven Stewart of Idaho – for their parts in the 2014 armed standoff between the federal government and supporters of rancher Cliven Bundy. The jury found co-defendants Eric Parker and Scott Drexler not guilty of most charges but deadlocked on some. When it comes to trying the Bundys and their supporters, federal prosecutors now have a terrible record, winning just two convictions after two trials of six defendants in Nevada this year. Last fall, Bundy's sons Ryan and Ammon Bundy and five others were acquitted for leading an armed takeover of Oregon's Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in early 2016.

Klayman Asks DOJ Office of Professional Responsibility and Inspector General to Investigate and Order Attorney General and His Staff To Expeditiously Review Bundy Case For Gross Prosecutorial Misconduct and to Take Appropriate Remedial Action to Prevent Injustice

(Washington, D.C., August 28, 2017). Today, Larry Klayman, a former federal prosecutor and the founder of Freedom Watch and before that Judicial Watch, announced the filing of a complaint with the Office of Professional Responsibility and Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) concerning the failure of Attorney General Jeff Sessions to uphold his oath of office and his prior commitment to Klayman to neutrally review the on-going Bundy prosecution. This prosecution, as has been widely reported, is rife with gross prosecutorial misconduct by DOJ attorneys under Sessions' supervision and control, such as the acting U.S. Attorney Stephen Mayre. This prosecutorial misconduct has been furthered and compounded by the presiding judge Gloria Navarro, who was recommended to the bench by former Nevada Senator Harry Reid. Reid had previously publicly defamed the Bundys as "domestic terrorists" in transparent attempt to taint jury pools. This complaint, which is embedded below and which can be found at www.clivenbundydefensefund.org, is self explanatory.

The political prosecution of Cliven Bundy, his sons and tens of other defendants is an outrage begun by President Barack Obama and his Justice Department, then run by former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, essentially because Cliven used the word "Negro" in commenting that he and his family could appreciate how African-Americans were mistreated by the federal government, given how this same federal government, under Obama and Lynch, with the aid of former Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, had attempted to enslave them, too. As just one example of how Obama took offense and then threatened Cliven, just watch the video below.

Dirty Harry's New Year's greeting to the Bundys

Many of y'all know the story, but none of us as of yet knows the ending. In the spring of 2014, the federal government, led by Sen. Harry Reid's (aka 'Dirty Harry') hand-picked head of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), who he not coincidentally had President Obama appoint, violently invaded the ranch of Cliven Bundy, his wife and his sons and daughters, with its army of armed federal agents and mercenaries, to throw the Bundys off the land they had ranched at Bunkerville, Nevada, for nearly 150 years.

Cliven Bundy needs your help!
Cliven Bundy and his sons have been arrested by federal agents and are currently being held in prison in solitary confinement, awaiting trial. Cliven was denied bail after prosecutors described him as "lawless and violent." The Bundys' own senator from Nevada, Democrat Harry Reid, has labeled the Bundy family "domestic terrorists," putting them in the same class as Timothy McVeigh and Osama Bin Laden.

In reality, unlike those who wish to harm America and the American people, the Bundys care very deeply about this country and what it stands for. They are men of faith and honor who respect the rule of law. They deserve better.

Cliven Bundy deserves a fair and just trial. But that won't come easy, with so much going against him. He will need a competent and capable legal defense. To mount an effective defense, Cliven Bundy needs your strong financial support.

Please consider a generous contribution today to the Cliven Bundy Legal Defense Fund!

Dear Friend,

Cliven and Carol Bundy
You can't imagine what it's like here on the ranch without my husband and four of my sons – being held without bail – political prisoners of Barack Obama's "Justice" department.

Maybe you haven't heard that Cliven was, until recently, being held in solitary confinement without bail – unjustly imprisoned for being a God-fearing, honest, law-abiding, hard-working patriot.

I never thought anything like this could happen in America. Yet it is happening to my family! Cliven's even being denied his choice of counsel, and is being treated as guilty 'til proven innocent. In our case, the Constitution means nothing!

That's because everything Obama and his henchmen have charged Cliven with has been completely fabricated – just one more attempt by Obama and Harry Reid to use the government to intimidate us into giving up our livelihood – cattle ranching.

More than two years ago, the nation was spellbound as the family of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and other cowboys who supported the patriarch's God-given right to defend his land at Bunkerville, Nevada, stood down a tyrannical Obama administration bent on seizing the Bundy homestead.

The false excuse used by Obama's Bureau of Land Management, or BLM: The federal government, rather than the state of Nevada, owned the land that the Bundy family's cattle grazed on, that the Bundys thus owed grazing fees to the federal government, and, incredibly, that this ranching was killing a so-called endangered species tortoise.
