Mission Statement

The mission of Bonniejazz Music is to educate, entertain and empower through music. We provide top-notch music education and performance services, actively supporting emerging talent and mentorship programs to nurture the next generation of musicians and music educators. Bonniejazz Music brings people together through music, transcending boundaries and fostering a sense of unity and connection. 

Our music programs serve as a catalyst for collaboration, encouraging artists, educators, and enthusiasts to share their knowledge, ideas, and experiences to enrich the musical landscape of different communities.

Since the age of 14, Bonnie has been performing different genres of music with pop bands and in nightclubs. While teaching music in North Africa and the Middle East, he provided live music entertainment at the Marriott Hotel in Egypt, La Mer (Five-Star restaurant) at the Ritz Hotel in Qatar and clubs in the United Arab Emirates. 

Bonnie is both a vocalist and instrumentalist, providing music for different occasions including conferences, breakfast meetings, diners, church events, weddings, birthdays , senior living facilities, etc.

Bonnie is an embodiment of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. His approach of viewing the world as a global village has afforded him opportunities to express his drumming skills and facilitation to various institutions. He has performed for the International Society for Music education (ISME) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2006.

Bonnie uses his drum circles to bring people together from different backgrounds, a common ground for cultural expression, understanding and unity.

Bonnie is one of Sierra Leone's finest music educators. He was a recipient of the Principal's Trust scholarship of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music (now the Conservatoire of Scotland) where he earned his masters degree. 

He is a life time educator who has taught music in different parts of the world, received his IB music training in Singapore, designed music curriculum for various cultural settings, published a piano book for kids and also included aspects of music therapy in his pedagogy.

Bonnie always find a musical common ground that enhances the atmosphere and the vibe of the crowd and occasion. As a musician, he knows how to get your feet dancing and fingers snapping. 

His students refer to him as "DJ Dubz" and he has become a favorite for school dances, birthday parties, BBQs, corporate events, etc. Bonnie is equipped with over 2000W of Bose sound system, latest DJ mixing console and an updated music library of different genres of music.

Bonnie's musical talents have afforded him the opportunity to lead worship in various cultural settings, from Sierra Leone to Glasgow, Egypt, Qatar,  the United Arab Emirates now Maryland. He has served as Director of Music Ministries and advocates for blended music in worship.

He has gracefully blended contemporary and traditional settings into one multi-cultural church service to make even the staunchest of worshippers feet tap out a beat. Bonnie effortlessly integrates music technology in traditional settings.

Bonnie has been very instrumental in providing music programs for senior citizens in various living facilities. His Senior Living Choir is a music performance and wellness program for seniors from different backgrounds and with different accommodations. 

He also introduced drum circles to the senior living communities which has become an all-time favorite - both entertaining and therapeutic with emphasis geared towards wellness - social skills, reducing stress, improve vocabulary, boost communication and self-confidence.
