WHAT IS CAMPMED?
UCLA CampMed is an organization that strives to encourage high schoolers interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare field. Traditionally, we host speakers from various healthcare professions at an annual weekend-long camp; however, CampMed 2021 will be completely virtual. Our counselors are all current UCLA students who hope to encourage and assist high school students on their journeys toward higher education.

NOTE TO THE APPLICANT:
- All parts of the application must be completed in order to be considered for UCLA CampMed
- Although it is asked, GPA is NOT used as a criterion for selection. However, it is important for our records so please answer this question truthfully. If you need help or do not know your GPA, ask your counselor or go to the guidance office.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a high school student of a UCLA CampMed participating high school (Birmingham, East Valley, Grant, Reseda, or Sylmar).
- Must attend VIRTUAL camp weekend on April 9-11, 2021.
- Must behave maturely and professionally at all times during camp and must represent your high school with pride.
- Must understand that CampMed is an opportunity to learn and grow as a person and must take initiative in order to optimize on this experience.
- Finally, and most importantly, HAVE LOTS OF FUN!!!

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Desire to continue education after high school
- Desire to meet new students from other high schools
- Desire to meet and learn from health professionals
- Desire to meet college students and to learn from their experiences
- Ability to work as a team with peers and professionals
- Willingness to participate in hands-on activities
- Open mindedness to different cultures, ethnicities, social and career-oriented interests
- Any student who fails to meet the qualifications listed above during or before camp may be dismissed.
