Appeared in 51 games ... tied for the league lead in fielding percentage (1.000%) and ranks fourth in walks (33), 10th in RBIs (30) and tied for 11th in home runs (6) … just the 23rd player in Missouri Valley Conference history to hit 30-plus round trippers in a career … her 145 RBIs are the ninth-most in Missouri Valley Conference history … hit .278 with 2 doubles, 6 home runs, 13 runs scored, 31 walks and 28 RBIs … had a streak of 13-straight games in which she reached base safely from Feb. 27 to March 21 … reached base safely in 40 of the 51 games in which she’s played … ranks 28th nationally in walks per game (.72) … has thrown out six would-be base stealers behind the plate.

Preseason All-MVC
Played in 20 games and made 17 starts in 2020 … hit .186 with a .397 on-base percentage and a .419 slugging percentage … reached base in 14 of the 20 games that she played in, which included four of the last five games of the season … four of her eight hits went for extra bases … hit her first home run on the season in SIU’s win over Fordham (2/21) … went for 1-for-1 with a home run, two RBI and two walks in the win over Harvard (2/22) … tied for the conference lead in runners caught stealing (4), runners picked off (1) and fielding percentage (1.000) … tied for fourth in the MVC in walks drawn (14) ... finishes her career ranked in the top-15 in school history for home runs (7th; 25), on-base percentage (12th; .406), walks (12th; 80) and runs batted in (12th; 116).

Appeared in and started all 49 games for the Salukis … Became just the second catcher in program history, and the first since 1999, to earn three-straight all-conference nods …. Slashed .308/.503/.399 with 10 doubles, six home runs and 38 RBI … Tallied 11 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games … threw out six would-be base stealers and held opponents to just 21 stolen bases, which was the fewest allowed in the MVC … committed just one error behind the plate … went 3-for-4 with two RBI in SIU’s 8-3 win over Loyola (4/20) to become just the 16th Saluki to reach the century mark for runs driven in … hit her first career grand slam to run-rule UT Martin (3/27) ... hit a walk-off, three-run home run to beat Bradley (5/4).

Appeared in and started all 53 games for the Salukis … Led the Missouri Valley Conference in runs batted in (48), walks (30) and runners caught stealing (11) … Finished second in the league in slugging percentage (.595), home runs (11) and total bases (94) … Her .91 RBIs per game were the 22nd-best nationally amongst sophomores … Her three doubles in SIU’s win over Stony Brook (2/24) were tied for the most in a game in the NCAA in 2018 … Hit .400 with a home run and an RBI during Southern’s run to the MVC title game to earn All-Tournament Team honors … Earned MVC Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career after she hit .455 with two doubles, three home runs and nine RBIs at the Gamecock Invitational (2/19) ...Hit .692 in four games with two doubles, a home run and 10 RBI to earn her second MVC Player of the Week (3/19) award of the season … Went 4-for-4 with two RBIs in SIU’s win over UT Martin, which were not only a career-best but also tied for the 12th-most hits in a game in the NCAA in 2018 … Her 48 RBIs were the fourth-most in a single-season in school history … Her 11 home runs are tied for the eighth-most in a single-season in program history while her 94 total bases are the 10th-most in a single-season.

Played in 46 games and started in 43... Hit .297 with five home runs and 22 RBI... Tied for the team lead with fellow catcher, Jessa Thomas, with a perfect fielding percentage... Committed no errors on 138 defensive chances... Her five home runs were fourth on the team and her 22 RBI were fifth best... .445 slugging percentage and .372 on base percentage were fourth best on the Salukis... Struck out just 14 times in 128 at-bats... Allowed just six steals on 17 attempts by runners... Threw out North Carolina's Leah Murray, the leading base stealer in the ACC... Hit her first career home run against UNLV... In a double header against Illinois State on 4/1, Massa went 3-4 in the first game with 2 RBI and 3-4 with two home runs and five RBI in the second game... Went 3-3 with two home runs and two RBI against Missouri State on 5/6... Had eight multi-hit games, six multi-RBI games and three multi-home run games... Had two walk-off doubles, the first against Bradley on 3/18 and the second against Evansville on 4/25.


PRIOR TO SIU
Massa has amassed 45 doubles, 33 home runs and 185 RBIs over the last three summers with the St. Louis Chaos. She was named the MO/IL ASA All-Star Game MVP and played in the Louisville slugger Independence Day tournament all-start game in Boulder, Colo. For Eureka high school, she was a four-year All-Conference hitter and a three-time All-District, All-Metro and All-Region selection. She earned All-State honors twice, and her team finished among the top-four in the state tournament twice. She totaled 28 doubles 76 RBIs in her four-year high school career.
