IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Student-athletes can use any available academic support resource on-campus that continues to be open i.e. LRC for tutoring & writing center, College advising/student success centers, BAC, Athletic academic/FAR office, Broncos Care Basic Needs Program, CAPS, DRC, etc.  Athletics Study Hall is closed until further notice.

    With the campus going online/remote, student-athletes should check the websites of each support area for continued service, help, or assistance.

    Within Intercollegiate Athletics, Scott Tsuji, Assistant Athletic Director Student Services, will be available for student-athletes at stsuji@cpp.edu, along with Jenny Heimstead, Assistant Athletic Director Compliance at jeheimstead@cpp.edu, and Dr. Laura Chase, Faculty Athletic Representative at lchase@cpp.edu

    Student-athletes should check broncoathletics.com and/or with their coaches for the latest information from Intercollegiate Athletics.

  • Your health and well-being are very important. Counseling and Psychological Services is transitioning to phone sessions in order to follow guidelines for social distancing. Jennifer is committed to continuing the support for student-athletes. If you are interested in a phone session please email Jennifer at Jhkohagura@cpp.edu with your name, phone number and availability.

    If you are in a crisis we are still open to see crisis clients either in-person or via phone sessions. Our business hours remain 8:00am to 5:00pm. Phone crisis support is available after-hours and on weekends  by calling (909) 869-3220 and pressing “2” when prompted to speak with a crisis counselor. You can also contact CAPS by email at caps@cpp.edu. Please check your emails for any updates or changes.

  • Over the course of the next week, training programs will be sent out to student-athletes to complete while away from campus.  They will be similar to what we do for the summer, I will be posting workouts on our Bronco Athletics website. Given the closure of many public facilities, included on the website will be training programs for both commercial gyms, at home workouts with minimal equipment, and at home workouts with no equipment.  Along with conditioning and mobility practices to keep everyone in the best physical condition during this time.  Do not hesitate to call, text, or email Chase at csanders@cpp.edu with any questions you may have or modifications you may need.

  • Your health and wellbeing continue to be our number one priority. As the community spread of COVID-19 grows, we want to assure you that the CPP Student Health Center will continue to provide care and is also looking into ways of providing Telehealth in the very near future.  The Health Center will remain open during regular business hours and all appointments must be made over the phone. In an effort to keep everyone safe, health center staff will be screening students by phone prior to scheduling an in-person appointment. Please call (909) 869-4000 between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

    The athletic training staff will be in contact with teams and individual student-athletes over the next few days. We will continue to function remotely focusing on continuity of care regarding current injuries, post-operative cases, insurance claims and all other related functions. Staff athletic trainers will be available for contact via phone or email between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Our off-campus team physician’s office is currently functioning at full capacity. Please contact an athletic trainer if you need to see Dr. Ijadi.

    Individual appointments can be scheduled on a need and case by case basis. Please contact an athletic training staff member for more information.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Many spring sport student-athletes (baseball, men’s and women’s outdoor track and field) will be granted another season of eligibility, provided the following criteria are met:

    1. The student-athlete used a season of competition in a spring sport during the 2019-20 academic year;
