CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — For many people, Hurricane Matthew made its way right up against South Carolina's shoreline in the predawn hours of the morning while they were trying to sleep, sometime after 3 a.m. Saturday.
With reports of storm surge breaching the seawall at the Charleston battery and updates on extensive flooding on the peninsula and in other low-lying areas, ABC News 4 crews headed out into the storm to find the images that captured Hurricane Matthew.
