Olivia's story was inspired by the author's experience watching her mom work  in a laboratory as a molecular biologist. It was filled with microscopes, scientists in white lab coats, and endless possibilities. 
Olivia has a natural curiosity about the world around her, and children will connect to her excitement for asking questions and finding answers.
