The Building Healthy Communities Step Up for School Wellness Program is an innovative school-based program focused on creating and sustaining a healthier school environment and building a culture of wellness that supports physical activity, healthier food choices, mental health, and overall well-being.
Use the Request for Applications (RFA) to learn about the five-step program, goals and expected impacts, available resources, and details about how to apply and select the best resources for your school.
Who Should Apply?All Michigan public, charter, or private non-profit schools in Michigan, serving any grade level K-12, can apply each year. We encourage each school building in your district to complete an application.What Can My School Apply For?Customize the program during the application process by completing only the resource sections your school needs and is ready to implement.Choose from more than 15 resources focused on moving more, eating healthy, and improving mental health and overall well-being. |
How to ApplySTEP 1: NEW SCHOOLS (never participated before): Start by registering.RETURNING SCHOOLS: Log in using the log in box at the top right on this page. STEP 2: Complete the sections of your application. You have access to all sections from your Dashboard page (first page you see when you register or log in.)
