HBA SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA PRESENTS

The Art of Unmasking - Racial Inequities Revealed at the Intersection of Gender

The HBA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter in collaboration with the Pacific Region Women of Color Affinity Group are honored to bring forward this important discussion as we examine the intersectionality of racial inequities and gender.

We begin the program with a special keynote from our guest speaker Dr. Atira Charles. Afterwards we will extend the conversation into a panel discussion moderated by our very own Laurie Cooke. Alongside Dr. Charles on the panel will be our current and past Woman of the Year honorees including Dr. Sandra Horning (2020/2021 WOTY), Denice Torres (2015 WOTY), Dr. Freda Lewis-Hall (2011 WOTY) and Myrtle Potter (2000 WOTY).

Please join us as we further understand the unique narratives and ways in which we can contribute to lifting all women, especially Women/People of Color and consider our roles as bold allies.
