This is a Hollywood meets Mafia and then you add in the 50 shades “Red Room” type story. It is steamy, sizzling, full of suspense, action and romance. Ms. Rowe wrote a tantalizing story that has you feel every emotion, every action, every pulse pounding moment that will keep on the edge of your seat. The attraction between the main characters is keenly felt, the push/pull is quite evident along with trying to figure out who is stalking the heroine of the story Ava Lane. There is this mystery about her new head of security Griffin Scott. Thing is, Ava just isn’t royalty of Hollywood, she is also a Mafia princess. There is a HUGE twist that goes hand in hand with this Hollywood meet Mafia storyline and believe me, it is a shocker. I am a sucker for Hollywood/Mafia/BDSM storylines and when you roll them all together…come to Mama!!!
Ava is a woman who I can very much relate with. She is trying to figure out who she is and also why she hasn’t been able to find a man worthy of her love , and for him to really love her. She is a caring person. Lovely. She is submissive but doesn’t know that right away. She is looking to find where she needs to be in her life and she wants to find out who is after her. She has had some failed relationships and wants to truly find someone to love her but isn’t out there looking. Right as she is about to go on this journey, she meets mysterious Mr. Scott. And let me say, he is quite the “Dominant” fellow. Full of possessive feelings toward his charge, not sure why yet he knows he doesn’t want Ava to get hurt yet he knows his family could be the ones behind the threats. He is a strong, assertive, possessive, passionate man who gets the job done. Ms. Rowe writes the characters in such a way that they feel real, like they are friends or relatives and they are relatable. She also has a way of fully capturing your attention from the 1st page. Excellent read.

This was a well-written book, and it had suspense, but there was way too much going on for me. Hollywood, the mafia, stalking, BDSM.... I have ADHD and thrive when things are complicated so it wasn’t that I was overstimulated, it was that none of it was able to be developed very deeply and it made the book almost superficial. Just a sum of things that happened instead of a study, if that makes sense.
I also had trouble feeling chemistry between the couple... I really liked the age difference but the hero fell a little flat because I didn’t understand his personality. I didn’t know who Griffin was, and while I understood Ava better, there was so much potential for her to be a more complex women.
It wasn’t bad by any means and the sex was hot which gave it a half star. I just wanted more than a thriller, and it fell a little short in that aspect.

This is a Enemies to Lovers type of story because you have two people from feuding Mob Families. One is Ava who is a famous actress but also daughter to a mob boss. Ava is in need of a new bodyguard and a really good one too, now because her stalker, Romeo, has upped his game.
Griffen shows up being ex-military and hot as sin, but also much younger than Ava.
Age is a big hold-up for Ava, more so than her stalker. Griffen is the son of a late mob boss, and now his uncle runs the family business and he wants Griffen to join the family business.
Besides their family lives, they each are trying to find something. Ava is trying to find herself and shed her good girl next door romantic comedy persona. She's looking to break out of that mold. She decides to visit a BDSM dungeon. Honestly, the BDSM is a sad though, it doesn't feel like she truly wants to be a submissive, but wants to experience something taboo. Griffen is a Dom at the club but can't have attachments due to his demanding job and unconventional family.
This whole area of the book was lacking for me. It missed the mark with Ava trying to learn that she's a submissive. It started off good but fell flat. I didn't enjoy the chemistry of the characters as much as I was hoping too. There was just too much going on in one book, and not everything tied together or worked well.

Mafia meets Hollywood in the "Red Room of Pain". Intrigued? You should be. Ruby Rowe put my favorite two things in one book, organized crime and BDSM, and she nailed it.
Ava Lane is Hollywood's sweet heart, the girl next door. The daughter to a notorious mob boss, and the object of a stalkers obsession. With head of security leaving, needing the best in the business, she hired Griffin Scott... Griffin is a body guard to the stars, and his closet is filled with lots of juicy secrets! Griffin will stop at nothing to ensure Ava is safe. The attraction between Ava and Griffin is instantaneous, as a reader it completely draws you in and gives you a connection to the characters. This book is filled with angst, suspense, and scorching hot moments. I could not get enough of Ava and Griffin, both were beautifully written characters.
This is the first book I've read by Ruby Rowe, I loved her style of writing so I bought her other books. Ms. Rowe has a way of fully capturing your attention from the first page. Excellent read.

OMG... I could NOT put this book down. I LOVED this book like LOVED it!
This is my first book my author Ruby Rowe and honestly it will NOT be the last one. This book had so many different elements in it. You have the Movie star and Body guard, you have a psycho stalker, you have jilted lovers, and oh don't forget the mafia in there!
So, this was the story about America's Sweetheart, Ava Lane. Ava is in a rut with her career, she is older and is starting to loose out the roles to younger and younger actresses. Not to mention her ex boyfriend cheated on her with a young actress. As if that isn't enough going on in her life, she also has a crazy stalker sending her letter and packages. Oh, did I mention her head bodyguard is quitting AND she is the princess of the Leoni family. (yeah... CRAZY right? and I haven't even gotten into the book yet lol)
Enter Griffin Scott. Griffin takes his jobs seriously. He doesn't ever let anything distract him from protecting his principal. He is also the son of the previous mafia boss for the Golina family. As far as he was concerened, Ava Lane was just another principal and was thankfully lower key than his previous job. Although, now he is finding that he can't stop thinking about Ava and all that he is wanting to do to her. Oh, did I not mention that he is a Dominant? Yes that is right on top of EVERYTHING else, this has a LARGE BDSM story in here and HOLY HOTNESS I LOVED IT.
I was so nervous at first because man there are a TON of elements going on but this story worked. It worked in an AMAZING way. I LOVED the way that Ms. Rowe took the well known story of Romeo and Juliet. She has Ava and Griffin as the star crossed lovers in this book but OH MAN I LOVED the twists and turns that she took me on. I really enjoyed the take that she had with this story line. It could have been so played out but this was so fresh and man it totally worked for me.
This book was just amazing, one of my top reads this year by far. Ms. Rowe was able to invoke so many emotions from me. I LOVED the banter between Ava and Griffin. I would LOVE to know if Daniel will get his own story because I just loved him.
I HIGHLY recommend this book. It was extremely well written, the pace of the book was excellent as I read it in an entire day (sorry family). The characters were all so well developed and honestly the author left me wanting more of these characters. 10 stars if I could give it! I really look forward to more books by Ms. Rowe. Consider me a fan!

I am a somewhat new fan to Ruby Rowe aka Scarlet Wolfe, having discovered her earlier this year, but every time I pick up one of her books, I am blown away by the story that unfolds in the pages. I am never disappointed and she always surpasses any expectations I have of the story. I have fallen in love with the way she makes me fall in love with the stories she details, in such a way that each of her books is better than the last. Each new story takes me on such an amazing adventure, that I just can't put it down! You are just pulled into these books and fall in love with every one of her characters. They are flawless and so are the words she brings to life.
In Romeo, we get the chance to fall in love with Griffin and Ava's story. Ava is a Hollywood movie star who is seeking something more in her life. She knows she wants to explore more in her life, especially in the bedroom, and knows her life and career aren't going as she had always dreamed. A change of Bodyguards leads her to the man she never thought she would turn too. When Griffin becomes her primary Bodyguard, there is chemistry between them that they both know is forbidden; her the client, and him the bodyguard. They know they must keep their distance, despite their over whelming connection. But the forces pulling them together are too strong to resist.
These two ultimately belong to one another. Their spark is so electric that there is nothing that can keep them apart. He has a strong desire to control her in and out of the bedroom, and she is looking for someone to trust and give herself over too. As things begin to unfold and we find out the inner workings of their Mafia families, how the Romeo stalker situation plays out, and as Ava begins to see who she can trust and who isn't worthy of her time, the two fall deeper into one another. These two were so fun to read and watch their story play out and watch the chemistry and their connection deepen on such a profound level.
This book is packed with intense drama, romance, seduction, and even a few moments of intense action. Ruby has found a way to incorporate so many things into Ava and Griffin's story, that there truly is never a dull moment from cover to cover. I can't wait to see if this story goes any further or branches out with some of the supporting characters and their stories. Either way, I know the next book I get ahold of by Ruby or Scarlet won't' disappoint me and will always blow me away.

ROMEO by Author Ruby Rowe is a suspenseful, action-packed book that will have you hooked from the very beginning.
In this book, we meet many strong characters. Some you will love and some you will absolutely detest. ROMEO is one emotional Rollercoaster read. Wow, how can I put into words how much I loved this book. We first meet Ava Lane who's a famous movie star. Who is not happy with her career, her love life sucks, and to top it off she has a stalker that sends her cryptic notes and packages. So that's where sex on legs Griffin Scott comes in and he rocks Ava's world. Ava hires Scott to be her personal bodyguard. He is everything Ava has always dreamed about but never thought she would have. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be a page-turner if we didn't have obnoxious characters that make you want to throw your kindle/phone across the room. Will Ava and Scott be able to escape the hell called ROMEO or will ROMEO be the end of AVA? If you like mind-blowing, suspenseful sexy reads this is a book for you...
Ruby delivered an epic read. Not only did she deliver a book that will have you chanting "OMG" you will also fall in love with her strong characters. I felt every emotion these characters went through and my heart ached for them. When Ava was drooling over Griffin yep you guessed it so was I. Ava's character is funny, sweet, and sexy. You can't help,but fall in love with her. Now Griffin he is Dominant ,but in a very positive way. He's just sex on legs ... I also found it exciting how the characters grew as the story unfolded. Ava's strength to overcome everything she went through with her stalker, over coming her fears with her career, the media, and being betrayed is truly inspiring. I am 100% a Ruby Rowe fan and I can't wait to get my hands-on another one of her books.

Wow Ruby Rowe did it again with another page turner. Romeo had all the elements of a great book. The characters were strong, independent and loving. All of them were relatable and realistic. It also had an excellent plot and subplots. Reading Romeo was like being on an emotional roller-coaster ride. There was not only sweet romance but there was also lots of drama, danger, murder , shootings, and a villain on the loose. Thankfully all the suspense comes to a head and I could not put the book down from cover to cover.
Ava "Lane" Leoni is America's sweetheart actress and mob daughter who has a stalker. Griffin Scott is her new bodyguard from a notorious family. This is a couple who by all means are not meant to be together but fate has something else for them in her plans. Two people who should despise one another end up not being able to live without each other. Who is Romeo? Who is this stalker? How do two people from two different notorious families end up together? Who ever says bloods thicker then water never meet Griffin and Ava.

You NEED to READ! From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that you will find yourself falling in love with. Ava (Leoni) Lane is a 40 year old actress and the daughter of a mafia boss, and Griffin Scott is her 30 year old bodyguard—the type of man that dreams are made of—hot, sexy, handsome, strong, and he even has a soft side for Ava. Griffin also has a penchant for BDSM and other secrets he is safeguarding. Will Ava find out what secrets Griffin is guarding? Will these secrets jeopardize his job of protecting Ava? I can understand why Ava became a cougar—you will to when you read the story. ROMEO by Ruby Rowe was awesome. It had the right mix of suspense, angst and steam. Enjoyed Ava and Griffin's suspenful journey.

Ruby Rowe has quickly jumped onto my list of must read authors and this book is just another reason why she deserves to be on that list. I am a sucker for the Hollywood Actress books but add in my other favorites of the Mafia world and BDSM and I am in heaven. I have yet to read a book that has this combination in it and man what a combination it was. Ruby did such a great job with this book. I felt immersed into their world and it felt like I was right there with them. The emotions this book brings out in you will have you hooked and not wanting to put it down until you know exactly how it is going to play out.
Griffin and Ava have such chemistry from the first time they meet. The fight to push those feelings ends up a lost cause but their relationship is going to cause waves not only with the press but their families as well. Oh and of course let's not forget the stalker that is upping his game. They not only have to figure out who Romeo is but they have to figure out how a relationship will work with their Mafia families.

Fantastic read! Who wouldn't love a mafia read with some been, romance, erotic scenes, murder, and Hollywood all entangled with a book? This hit the mark for me. Just enough of everything to keep me focused and invested in the book. Utter perfection!
Ava starts out as America's Sweetheart but with the help of an unexpected someone she finds her inner strength and steps up to who she really wants to be and is all while a deranged stalker they've named Romeo is messing with her and her life. Sometimes the unexpected is right in front of you but you can only see through rose colored glasses when it's your life, family and friends in front of you. Ava faces alot through the book. Betrayal, secrets and lies are amongst a few of the things that hurt her but she'll find simmering much more in the end that was worth going through all that she does.

Ruby, you NAILED IT!!!
This book is AMAZING!!! I daresay this is the BEST book Ruby has written to date. I couldn't put it down, and I kept saying, out loud, "oh my gosh, I love this book!"
Ruby wrote the suspense aspect PERFECTLY. She kept introducing characters and hinting at who MIGHT be ROMEO, and I was seriously guessing right up until the end at who it really was. I LOVED that!
And the emotions! Oh my gosh. I felt every drop of angst and and desperation and love and fear...the writing was fantastic!
And Griffin! Oh my...the way Ruby wrote his thoughts and actions and dialogue...I think I might be in love with him, too.
I also loved Ava. She knew her limitations, both in and out of the bedroom, but didn't let them define her. In fact, she strove to push beyond them while, at the same time, not taking any crap from anyone, even Griffin :)
I'll be the first to admit that BDSM is not my cup of tea, but I ALWAYS and will always read ANYTHING Ruby writes. Yes, this book has BDSM aspects in it, but true love is a much larger presence in this story and it was written so beautifully.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ruby Rowe's The Terms duet so I couldn't wait to read her latest, ROMEO.
From the very first chapter, I was literally sucked into the storyline. I'm usually not a mafia-type reader, but ROMEO is an exception. And when I read there was a stalker and that Ava's body guard was stepping down from his position, I was hooked. I needed to know what the heck was going on! The bit of suspense and angst, mixed with some scorching hot sex, made this story an exceptional read.
The author created brilliant characters that I couldn't get enough of. Ava and Griffin had so much chemistry and the fact that Griffin was all about protecting her, made it electrifying. I got so engrossed in the story itself and I could literally feel the emotions from Griffin with all his "secrets."

Such a great book. Absolutely loved this storyline, a few twists and turns to keep you guessing where the story goes. Loved the characters especially Griffin, I do like me a big buff alpha! Very well written as always with Ruby. Highly recommend.

Wow, Ruby Rowe blew me away with this book. Ava and Griffin - - - what a couple!! I don't know how to tell you about them without giving too much away. Ava, she's our strong bored with her life heroine. Griffin, he's our dominant too much excitement in his life hero. Who knew they were both looking for the same thing?? While they hunt what they think will make their lives better, they come together and after a few speed bumps (cuz we all know the path to true love is never smooth, especially in books), they discover their HEA is not so far away.
Ruby's books are always hot but this one is so hot, it almost melted my Kindle. I read a lot of it at work and I had to keep glancing around so no one could sneak up and read over my shoulder, I knew they'd be shocked to discover a 50 year old woman reading this hot of a book. But Ruby always keeps us on the edge of our seats, clinging to the cliff by our fingernails. And ROMEO is no different!! So grab it now and buckle up your seatbelts!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! Where do I begin? Ava and Griffin are two very well written characters who have such a amazing chemistry. Ava is a women who was born into a mafia family as was Griffin. Neither want to be involved in that type of life. Ava has always wanted to act and has made a name for herself in LA. Griffin never wanted to take over the family business and instead signed up to serve his country and later became a bodyguard to the stars. Ava has a stalker and her current bodyguard is retiring. Enter Griffin who it appears knows exactly who Ava really is and who her family is. The two cannot deny the attraction they have. There is also something else they have in common. Something Griffin discovers one night when Ava goes to a BDSM club. One it turns out Griffin belongs to. Griffin will do anything to protect Ava and find out who her stalker is. I was so emotionally invested in their story and could not put the book down. Ms Rowe has a way of writing a story that draws you in and keeps you wanting more. The suspense as to who the stalker is had me on edge the whole time. Thee are surprises along the way involving both their families and a definite "I didn't see that coming" feel to it. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more from Ms Rowe.
