4 Stars!

I really, really this series and I adore Vanessa Vale's writing as a whole. She writes with such ease and is well-known for her books being sweet, super sexy and she's always tossing on hints of mystery... and suspense in every one to keep you hanging on to all the words.

Montana Mine is the latest standalone, book number five, in the Small Town Romance series, delivering another unputdownable book that nearly charmed my panties off and left me with a big ol' smile on my face. JT and Daphne were a breath of fresh air and their story was so much fun (and super steamy!) in every single way.

If you like your romances less complicated and more pleasurable...enjoyable with kick ass heroines and swoon heroes, them Vanessa is a chick you need to check out.

I totally recommend this series.

Montana Mine is the fifth book in the Small Town Romance series. Daphne is on her way to the airport for her next travel journalism assignment when she’s pulled over by a police officer. Next thing she knows, she’s waking up in jail, tased, missed her flight, and suddenly on a road trip with three unique, older ladies, JT, the cop who tased her, and George the garden gnome. Not only that, but she’s constantly mistaken for a porn star! Not sure which is the worst part, she’s avoiding looking at her life, but on this crazy adventure, she just might find exactly what she needs - if she can survive it!

I have just absolutely loved this entire series so far, and had so much fun reading this book! I giggled a lot and even teared up once, but there was just so much funny shenanigans that happens in this book! I loved Daphne! She was sassy, smart, just wanted to belong, and I loved that she tended to avoid looking too close at her own emotions. JT was interesting to me because he kind of started off as a jerk and kind of lacking depth, but slowly became so much more and I loved what he did at the very end! I loved how possessive he became, too! I loved the roles that Goldie and George played in this story, again, and I’m actually going to be sad to not have them in the next series. I loved this book, I have really enjoyed this entire series, and would highly recommend it to any romance lover!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
Montana Fire (Small Town Romance, Book 1)
Montana Ice (Small Town Romance Book 2)
Montana Heat (Small Town Romance Book 3)
Montana Wild (Small Town Romance Book 4)

This is Daphne and JT’s story. JT is about to start his vacation as soon as he writes one last ticket. What started out as a ticket turns into a ride along with a beautiful woman and three older women. The older woman have love and match making on the brain. JT and Daphne have other things on there mind. But will this turn into a great vacation or a crazy I just want to get back home vacation. Was this ride along a mistake or the best thing that ever happened to these two?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Montana Mine is book 5 in the Small Town Romance Series by Vanessa Vale. In book 5 we meet two new characters Daphne and Detective JT. JT pulls Daphne over for speeding, he starts off mistaking her for someone else and treats her terribly. She was speeding to get to the airport in time so she could travel to Thailand since her job is as a travel writer. Because of Dectective Sexy (JT) , she doesn’t make her flight and then all kinds of crazy things end up happening around Daphne. These two are insanely perfect for one another and watching them realize how they feel about each other was sizzling, beautiful and fabulous at the same time. This is book 5 in the series yet each book feels fresh and exciting. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series m.

I read this in one setting. I laughed so hard during this book. My husband was asleep beside me and there was a few times when I woke him up. I just said this book is funny and he rolled back over. Well, it was funny! The road trip was perfect. Getting Daphne and JT with the women in a vintage RV was something else and had me laughing so much. This was definitely a must read!!

My absolute favorite in the entire series. Of course, I loved George the Gnome & Goldie & her shenanigans.

Montana Mine is book 5 in the Small Town Romance Series by Vanessa Vale. I have had the pleasure of reading all of the stories in this series.

In book 5 we meet two new characters Daphne and Detective McHottie, or JT. I found myself laughing out loud many times while reading this story. Daphne gets pulled over by McHotte who thinks she's Silky Tangles, a porn star. Then he proceeds to not believe her when she argues she's not, and that's where this crazy funny ride began.
The story is well written with great new characters and our favorite Goldie returns with the gnome George. While the story is funny, the storyline was kind of boring and far-fetched to me.

Daphne Lane is a woman on the move. A wanderer by trade, a lost soul by heart. JT is a laid back kind of guy. He enjoys his job and life. He's a stop and smell the roses kind of guy. She's a live life to the fullest kind of girl. With the help of a few matchmaking grandmas and a routine traffic stop, JT and Daphne are about discover that they have a great deal to learn about life, love and each other. Montana Mine is a happy place kind of read. Vale reminds us to appreciate the little moments that make up the big picture. A funny, heartwarming road trip to love.

I really love this series because each story packs a punch. There's always humor and sexy times. Hot and steamy enough to get your motor running. Straight out of the gate you've got sext cop, JT and Daphne who he mistakes for someone else. It's hilarious with the situations they get into with her Aunt and Goldie. If you love this series like I do, then you will absolutely love this book too.

I received a free copy of the book from the author.

One of these days the people of this small town in Montana are going to wise up that Goldie is up to no good!  She strikes again in Montana Mine.

We have poor Daphne trying to get out of town to cover an event in Asia only to get caught speeding. Much to her dismay she's pulled over for speeding by a Detective JT McCade.  This poor woman, y'all.  She's going to need to see a therapist from the PTSD over this even alone. LOL

If you've kept up with this Small Town Romance series you know that Goldie is always up to something.  I think this one is a doozie.  I think I would have rung her neck in this book if Daphne was me!  For real. I don't know how Daphne didn't wind up calling a car to come take her to the closest airport or drive her back home.  Seriously this story is a mess!

It's kinda funny though. So much trouble just to match make. Though JT and Daphne finally get a clue and of course make the readers happy!  *smile* You'll just have to read it for yourself to see.

Seriously - let me know if you're in the same boat as me with this one! HA!

This book had me thinking of Janet Evanovich in that many of the characters could have easily shown up in Trenton and assisted (or hindered) any of Stephanie Plum's investigations. Aunt Velma and her elderly friends were hysterically fun. The chain of mishaps with the RV was very entertaining. I'm not a huge fan of novellas because I like time to really get to know and love the characters. I wanted more insight into Daphne and JT. I did get was a sexy, hot romance budding out of a less than stellar first meeting.

Daphne was fun and a pretty good sport about being mistaken for a porn star. She's adrift to keep her heart safe but coming to a time when she's tired of constant traveling the globe. JT is looking for the white picket fence. There's no fun in an easy trip from an arrest for slugging an officer to happily ever after and this book took these two on a lot of bizarre side-trips (literally) and over quite a few bumps on their way to realizing maybe they're right for each other.

Montana Mine is a fun, wild story with plenty of great humor. I was invested in Daphne and JT. The other characters are all fun in different ways and provided a lot of entertainment.

A fun and fast read, Montana Mine is the sexy story of Daphne and JT. Their story has a lot, a case of mistaken identity, a road trip, along with older meddling ladies. It had me giggling often, and I found it hard to put down.

Daphne is a sassy, independent woman. She's looking for her little place in the world, and does that by being a travel journalist. When she's on her way to the next assignment, her world twists as JT comes blazing in. Officer McHottie comes off as gruff and rude at first, but as the story goes on, we get to unwrap each of them.

Book 5 in a series, Montana Mine can be read as a complete standalone or introduction to the series. Theres a few reoccurring characters that always pop up for laughs, but it reads perfectly on its own.

A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY

The fifth story in the Small Town Romance series has many characters from previous stories, and it packs a punch within the pages. Yes, Goldie and her sex shop, Goldilocks play a role in this story and of course, the Garden Gnome, George will be involved. The story is part mistaken identity, memories from the past, part comedy of error, and a little bit of romance, plus two people learning more about themselves.

“Goldie West was a force of nature. A few years older than Aunt Velma, she owned and ran the only adult store in this part of Montana. She knew everyone within a hundred-mile radius and their secrets, too. She was like a doctor, a lawyer and a priest combined. Not only did she keep people’s proclivities confidential, but she also ensured customers a healthy sex life, kept the city’s divorce rate down and knew which folks were going to he**.”

Daphne Lane grew up in Montana, was dumped on her Aunt Velma by her selfish parents when she was five, but left as a teenager and went away to boarding school and then on to college. She took a job as a traveling journalist and rarely comes to Montana. A return from her latest assignment will discover her boyfriend has moved on, and so a quick trip to her aunt is in play between assignments. There is only so much of her crazy Aunt Velma she can handle at a time.

“Maybe I was a just a late bloomer and had to grow into my craziness. Whatever the reason, looking back, crazy might not be so bad after all.”

The plot will have Daphne on her way to the airport for her next assignment in Thailand when she is pulled over by Detective JT McCade. He believes her to be a famous porn star, Silky Tangles and believes she is lying about her name. Things go from bad to worse quickly, with him tasing her and her punching him in the nose.

“His picture was next to tall, dark and handsome in the dictionary.”

When Aunt Velma comes to the jail to get Daphne, she will need to see Goldie and learn about who this Silky Tangles person is and why JT believes it is her. It doesn’t take long watching the porn stars video to see the similarities, and before you know it, others believe her to be Silky also.

“No one understood. I was in a parallel universe full of people who were off in their own little worlds. In other words, everyone was crazy. Even the uber hot detective.”

The story had me laugh out loud so many times at the various antics, actions, and mishaps that will take place. From accidents to the road trip, to the crazy senior citizens and their idiosyncrasies, proclivities, and just plain craziness, it is a wacky adventure you don’t want to miss.

“This road trip—I’d known it would be an adventure, but it had been insane. It made me realize that life was insane, not just Aunt Velma. What you did when it got crazy was what mattered.”

The road trip with Goldie, Velma, Thelma, Daphne, and JT to Sturgis takes many detours, hiccups, and adds so much humor to the story. It will give JT and Daphne time to get to know each other a little better, and what makes them tick, and what they want out of life. They even share the painful truth of their childhood and what has led them to where they are today.

“Not an outcast really, more of life a cast-off.”

The story has so much angst between JT and Daphne but eventually these two, even if while under the influence of moonshine, connect. Has he finally accepted that she is who she says she is? What about the woman, Sarah, that he was supposed to meet in Sturgis? Will Daphne accept a new assignment and leave Montana for months in Brazil?

Travel journalist Daphne Lane leads an uncomplicated life moving from place to place, never staying in one spot for long. After spending a week visiting her quirky Aunt Velma, she’s ready to head off to her next assignment. When she’s pulled over for speeding, however, fate snowballs her plans in a new direction.

When JT McCade pulled over a speeder, he expected to issue a ticket and head off on his vacation. Instead, he finds himself face to face with a woman he believes to be Silky Tangles, an adult film star. When she disagrees, things get out of hand, and after a night in jail, JT finds himself on a cross country road trip from hell with Daphne, Aunt Velma, Goldie and their friend in a vintage RV.

As life continues to spiral out of control and nothing goes as planned, things also begin heating up between JT and Daphne. With fate and three quirky old ladies tossing them together at every turn, they’ll need to figure out if there is more to their attraction than a roll in the RV.

As always, Vanessa Vale has given readers a fun and quirky small town rom com. Road tripping in a tiny rv with Goldie and her buddies was pure comedic gold. Daphne, while tough on the outside is really vulnerable, as she’s never truly felt like she had a permanent home anywhere after her parents dropped her off as a young girl with her Aunt Velma, who did her best to give her a home.

JT or Officer McHottie if you prefer also has a vulnerable side, although he comes off as a bit of a jerk at times. It was nice to watch him start to move past his need for a one night stand into wanting something more with Daphne.

Montana Mine was a lot of fun to read. I mean, there’s a road trip in a silver phallic shaped RV, a porn star look alike, a taser, random roadside attractions and roller derby along with a smokin’ hot romance. 4 stars!

I LOVE this Small Town Romance Series. It’s definitely light, funny, and very engaging. But this particular story doesn’t have as much “romance” as I anticipated. JT and Daphne’s story is about coming to terms with what you really want out of life when you’ve had a rough childhood (abandonment issues on Daphne’s part and lack of a caring parent on JT’s part). At an early age, Daphne was abandoned by her parents and left to be raised by her loving aunt. She is a journalist, traveling the world in order to write stories… but along with that comes the fact that she’s also running away from what could be HOME. JT is a police detective. As a child his mother passed away and his father became addicted to pornography. He had no caring FAMILY, and that’s what he craves as an adult. The adventure begins when a traffic stop leads to Daphne’s mistaken identity, detective JT thinks she’s a popular porn star! But he’s not the only one! Between JT being cajoled into joining a road trip to a roller derby tournament, and Daphne being “terrorised” by her aunt and her geriatric friends, the story is a non-stop funny adventure… although there is sexual tension between the characters, there is no “romance” until well beyond the half way point in the book, and it’s brief. I was hoping for more… but the read was still very enjoyable. I really do Love Vanessa Vale’s writing style and as always I do look forward to the next one!

Every time I have a new favorite of Vanessa Vale's, she does it again. I love this book so much I smiled, giggled, and loudly guffawed my way through Montana Mine. This entire Montana Small Town Romance has been my favorite series to read this summer and I hope to see many more books because I adore reading about the quirky characters from Bozeman, Montana.

Daphne found herself in a pickle. Literally driving around in a silver, dildo-shaped pickle RV. Driving cross-country with three geriatric meddlers (hilarious btw) and one sexy detective dubbed McHottie, also known as JT McCade. The five set off in the pickle, along with George the Gnome (of course he tags along for the wacky adventure) which is an adventure that you just have to read to believe. Trust me what happens to Daphne could happen to anyone. (snickering)

Set your funny bone to the ON position and buckle up to have a good time.

From the moment JT pulls Daphne over for speeding, he mistakes her for someone else and treats her horribly. Thanks to a few meddling older ladies, these two find themselves on a cross-country road trip in a borrowed RV.

Their attraction is instant and scorching hot, but it takes JT longer than it should have to recognize how he was wrong about her. I loved Daphne's character - she was feisty and independent, and not afraid to take on any challenge. JT certainly was sexy, but I didn't think he had enough emotional depth to deserve Daphne.

Goldie and her friends are quite hilarious! They're quick with solutions to any and every problem, and truly live life to the fullest. The road trip aspect of the book is brilliantly written, with surprises and twists around every corner. It was a fun book to read, a great addition to the series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

If you're looking for a fun, well-written story that's sure to cause a few giggles, then look no further than Vanessa Vale and her Small Town Romance series. I have devoured every book in this set of stories and Montana Mine was another fantastic read.

Daphne and JT's story was exactly what I was hoping for. Vale has a way of luring you in and you never know what to expect from her cast of characters. Even though each story is a standalone, I still love that Goldie makes her appearances in them all. That woman is a hoot and you can't help but to love her and her crazy antics.

It's been such a delight curling up with the Montana books because of their light-hearted nature. I have to say, though, that Montana Mine really touched me and I think it's my favorite. Even though Daphne and JT are new characters, Vale worked extra hard to help blend them into the Montana environment that I've grown to love.

Great story!

When I say that hilarity ensues in this story, I am putting it mildly. One individuals wrong impression and wrong assumption of who someone is sets off a series of shenanigans and misunderstandings that do not stop! Goldie and George the Gnome are both back and the best form possible, especially Goldie. The things that this woman does will send readers into hysterics.

While I really enjoyed the hijinks of Goldie and her brigade of well meaning friends, who were freaking hilarious as well, I really enjoyed how both Daphne and JT’s characters interacted with each other. The beginning of the story just set the tone for the rest of the book and the barb’s back and forth between these two is AWESOME!

I have really enjoyed all of the books in the Small Town Romance series, but I do believe that MONTANA MINE might just take the top stop. Great characters all around, a quick witty read, and endless amounts of enjoyment. Definitely two thumbs up.

This book is absolutely hilarious! A riot of laughs from beginning to end. Book 5 in the Small Town Romance Series by Vanessa Vale, JT, Daphne and their motley crew had me laughing out loud, unable to contain myself.

Daphne is a traveling reporter. She travels the globe, in search of ......something. She had a very unconventional childhood, brought up by her aunt, after being abandoned by her parents. She doesn't know where she belongs, or what she wants from life. After a trip home, she is off to her next assignment....until she isn't. And there begins the comedy of errors that is this book. One thing leads to the next, nothing going as it should.

I've enjoyed each of the books in this series, with all of their mishaps, crazy characters, and a gnome that shows up in the strangest places! But I think I've enjoyed Montana Mine the most, because I never knew what was coming next! Totally unpredictable, this is a fun, crazy read that is totally a must read!

This is another wonderful addition to this series. Daphne and J.T.'s book offers readers laugh out loud humor, hot steaminess, zany characters, the crazy you can only get from family, madcap action, a fun storyline, and lots of emotions. I really like Daphne. She was so relatable and realistic. J.T. kind of had to grow on me. To start I really felt he was a jerk and I was not a fan of his treatment of Daphne. I also thought how he held on to his misconceptions about her was unrealistic (he is a cop!) and very childish. In the end though I was content with their pairing. Of course Goldie and George the Gnome play a huge part in the story, which is always welcome and adds so much fun to the read. I'm already waiting for the next book in this series! This is my completely honest and totally voluntary review.

Daphne is a travel journalist who has a little free time before she has to leave for her next assignment. She decides to visit her Aunt Velma, but she never expected the visit to end by being arrested for speeding and thrown in jail in a case of mistaken identity.

JT is about to start his vacation so when he pulled over the car for speeding he never expected his whole life would be turned upside down. He now finds himself on a roadtrip with Daphne and three older women who have made it their mission to ensure that he and Daphne are together before the end of the trip. Let the fun begin!

This is a hot and humorous story that will have you laughing out loud. What starts out as a one night stand is starting to develop into more and now he only has to convince Daphne that she has found a home with him. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Montana Mine is the 5th book in the Small Town Romance Series. I love this series. This time is Daphne Lane and Detective JT McCade’s (Officer McHottie) turn.

Daphne is pulled over after speeding going 90 in a 45 mile an hour zone. Uh oh! She was speeding to get to the airport in time so she could travel to Thailand since she is a travel writer. Of course she doesn’t make her flight because of Officer McHottie and all kinds of crazy happens around Daphne.

OMG this book is so funny. Many LOL moments were written. Goldie is hilarious and I still want to be her!

Montana Mine is the best book in this series so far! I really enjoyed it and I give 5 stars to this fast, funny and sexy little book. Vanessa Vale had to have fun writing Montana Mine!

So this is the last book of the Small Town Romance series. In Montana Mine, we get Daphne who is a straightlaced journalist that is trying to get out of Montana to her next gig. When she is pulled over going way over the speed limit.

JT happens to be the over the top hot cop that pulls her over. And things do not go well. JT thinks that Daphne is a porn star faking to be a journalist. When JT does not believe her and she misses her flight well needless to say Daphne ends up waking up in jail!

I have to say it has been a couple days since I have laughed during a book but this one had me rolling. If two people ever did not belong together it is JT and Daphne, and yet Goldie will not stop stepping in. Got to love that woman!

When a local cop catches Daphne speeding away to make her flight to Thailand things go from bad to worse. Let’s just say she spent a couple hours in jail recovering from where Deputy McHottie tased her. Then to make matters worse the deputy confuses Daphne with a porn star. With her assignment now in the toilet Daphne’s aunt and Goldie make plans to take her on a road trip to document their travels and deputy McHottie comes along for the ride after Daphne crushes his motorcycle.

Deputy JT McCade just wanted to start his vacation he has the pull over a speeder and when he does that he gets more than he bargained for. Ever since JT met Daphne his world has been turned upside down. Will they make the most of their road trip with the Three Stooges?

I’m glad Goldie and George the Gnome made appearances again. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next!

Once again Vale delivers a fun, quick read that is sure to have you laughing out loud one minute and fanning yourself the next.
In this one we meet Daphne, a travel journalist who is just trying to get to her next assignment when she is pulled over by sexy detective JT. These two are absolutely perfect for each other and watching them come to terms with how they feel about each other was hilarious and all kinds of sexy at the same time.
I cannot get enough of this series. You cannot help but love this incredible group of characters. They are an absolute hoot! I highly recommend you pick up, not only this one but the rest of this series. You will not be sorry.

I loved the small town romance, Montana Mine by Vanessa Vale. Having read 1 other book in this series, I was familiar with some of the characters and smiled when they came into this story.

I don’t image a case of mistaken identity is fun but for Daphne it was both fun and frightening. A little lost in her journey through life, Daphne meets JT. To say their relationship started with a bang and some sizzle would not be a lie.

As JT and Daphne spend their days together, they begin to understand each other better and realize that something is happening between them.

With her excellent writing, Ms. Vale gives us the HEA we were looking for. 4 Stars #2OCCCMS

I love Montana Mine. This Small Town Romance will keep you laughing from start to finish. But not only that fanning yourself over the sexy times. Daphne is a spitfire. I love how she somehow finds herself going along with Goldie and her awesome road trip adventure. When Daphne comes face to face with JT you can't help but feel the sparks fly. JT and Daphne are in for a crazy ride in this RV adventure with Goldie and her matchmaking helpers. Mistaken Porn star, trigger happy cop, cat from hell, a gnome named George and of course Goldie's shenanigans make this one a laugh out loud fun read.

Enjoyed the book, it is like a comedy of errors on steroids when you throw Goldie, Velma and Esther into the mix. Caught up in their plotting are Daphne and JT who they have decided belong together. Also there is a road trip that sounded like Chevy Chase’s National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation that also included George, the gnome, and the cat from hell. Over 2/3 of the book is hilarious with very little romance and as the book progresses Daphne decides to stay in one place long enough to see if she and JT might have a future. The book is a great read and I would recommend it.
