Our relationship was a sin, they said, but how can it be a sin to love so deeply?

She shouldn’t have listened to them.
Shouldn’t have left us behind.
You can’t help whom you love, and without Silvina, I didn't give a damn.

A mafia prince without a cause becomes a rebel with nothing to lose.

My brother owned an adult entertainment studio.
He wanted me nowhere near it. Thankfully, his competition did.
I auditioned. Landed a contract.
It's how I took my sins to a new level, my up-yours to la famiglia.

Until Silvina was kidnapped, and my world was thrown upside down.

NOTE: This coming year I have set a challenge for myself of reading one book a week that takes me out of my comfort zone. A book that may include one (or more) tropes (scenarios) that I avoid like the plague. Cheating. Older women/younger man. OW drama. Just to name a few. Nothing is off limits. I am taking a HUGE step out of the box I usually live in and charting a course into the unknown (HaHa). My reviews for these books will differ slightly from my usual as I will focus more on whether the author wowed me despite it having content I avoid. That said, I will go into each book with an open mind and an open heart and who knows, maybe I will discover a new favorite author on the way!

I legit don't know how I feel about this book. It was weird. Seriously weird. Funnily enough, I choose this one for my "stepping out" challenge because it had a pornstar hero. Pornstars are usually not my thing, so it seemed the perfect book to push my limits. Come to find out, the porn star thing played pretty much NO part in this book. He goes on one audition and then the entire storyline is pretty much dropped when the book turns into an action-packed mafia war book. That said, you know what did completely grossed me out. The fact that the hero/heroine were double first cousins. I legit threw up in my mouth every time these two had an intimate scene together.

description ~THIS BOOK INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING TROPES (SCENARIOS) I USUALLY AVOID~
-- Pornstar (kind of)
-- Cousins

~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~
So like I said above, I legit have NO idea how to rate this book. It took me a long time to get into it (almost 40%) and I toyed with the idea of throwing in the towel more than once. In fact, the ONLY reason I didn't was I needed to see if a secret would come out. It did, but it didn't really change anything. At 50% in the book took a turn, and I was hooked by the action right until the end. The writing in the last half was especially good. The entire book was very well paced. The plot though was all over the place. The porn star angle felt unnecessary and forced. Last, it was all wrapped up in an ending (lol). I can't say it was sweet ending without almost throwing up again.

~HERO~
GIOELE...Gioele was a bit of a hothead. I liked his character though. I think the fact that he and Silvina were cousins just really messed with my reading enjoyment. It's hard to like a character if you are struggling to keep your lunch down every time he started creeping on his cousin. That said, I loved his overall mafia bada$$ness.

~HEROINE~
SILVINA...Between Silvina and Gioele she was certainly the one with the brain. She wanted them to move on and find other people. In any case, I liked her character a lot. She was feisty and strong.

description

~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
This book had a lot of secondary characters in it. I assume characters from other books (although I have no clue since this was my first Sunniva Dee book). We also have family members. Baddies. Friends.

~HEAT LEVEL~
Super low. This one felt a bit YAish in regard to heat. There were a few very mild sex scenes, but it was certainly a tame book considering the plot line.

~ANGST LEVEL - SEXUAL HISTORIES~
High. Their cousins. First cousins (gag). Need I say more? The hero also has sex with a few OW and the heroine is forced to do something with an OM. Neither were virgins but I am fairly sure

~IN THE END~
Like I said, I honestly do not know how I feel about this one. I think the fact the two main characters were so closely related stopped me from fully enjoying or fully appreciating the overall story. I just kept picturing three-headed babies (lol). Lord knows I tried to go with it. That said, I thought the mafia stuff was brilliant and the best part of the book. I thought the porn angle wasn't a necessary addition and added nothing to the story. A mixed bag for sure. I think at this point I am going to go with a 3-Star rating with the option of changing that after I marinate on it a bit.description

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️STARS
ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-17/4/18.

I have never read anything by this author before and initially, I wasn't quite sure if the writing style was for me, It took a bit of getting used to but I did get there in the end and before long I was racing through this mafia romance / forbidden love story.
So before I start I should mention that the two main characters here Silvina & Gioele are first cousins who have grown up together.
This really didn't bother me that much as it is completely legal (well in my country anyway UK)
I know others may think differently than me that is why I was so impressed that this author tackled such a controversial and taboo subject.
So I found this to be utterly and totally heartbreaking at times.
To feel that strongly about another individual but for it to be classed as forbidden and wrong when all you want to do is just be happy together.
It was just so tragically harsh.
I get it, why the family was so set against this taboo, but I still felt so very strongly, that when all is said and done what was so wrong with Silvina & Gioele's love.
Silvini calls Gioele her "bane" and Gioele calls her his "Ina Mia".
These two practically finish each other's sentences they are that in tune with each other.
Its like they occupy a totally different bandwidth from the rest of the populace and I found this to be utterly adorable.
So there were a few things going on here that I loved and a few instances that I was not so struck with.
Hence why I went in the end with the four stars.
So after I got used to it, I really loved the talky style narrative.
It was a very informal way of storytelling but it seemed to work for this, giving it a much more personal feel.
I also really enjoyed the use of the Italian smattered throughout, it gave this I thought a very exotic flavour.
"Regretfully Yours" was very plot driven and the focus was less on the sexual side of things and more down the feelings route.
I found this to be a very intense experience with a deep dramatic storyline that was also so very believable.
I did find that the physical side of this story seemed to take more of a back seat with the main focus being on the drama, especially after our girl is kidnapped.
I found this to be a good thing, as so much more is learned from there past endeavours and present interactions than would have been if this was too sex focused.
So a couple things I had a beef with the "Adult Entertainment Contract" Pffft what contract it was one audition where I think it seemed more of an excuse for Gioele to have relations with someone else rather than an actual new career path.
And that was the extent of the adult film industry input, so I do believe in hindsight that the blurb was slightly misleading here.
Don't get me wrong there is no cheating as such here as our pair are not actually together but I am not really a fan of OW or OM tropes it's just a me thing.
The overall action here was full on and through initially I did believe Gioele to be a bit of a dick I changed my mind quite quickly I liked them both (Gioele & Silvinia) and just wanted them to get there HEA, after everything they had been put through and suffered they deserved this at least.
One other thing I also found was that occasionally I had some difficulty following along with the storyline.
It was only slight and was not often enough to be a major issue, so I overlooked this slightly and just had a quick read through of the passage to orientate me.
All in all, I did enjoy this but I've got a feeling this is going to be a love/hate thing for most.
A bit like marmite. (Hate marmite though just bloody yuck and gross)
Me, I'm more on the Love side of the fence.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of "Regretfully Yours" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Regretfully Yours by Sunniva Dee is a very entertaining mafia romance wonderfully mixed with action, suspense and romance. The romance aspect of the story will probably be a problem for some but for me it wasn’t. I knew Sunniva Dee would put her usual spin on the story. I wasn’t disappointed.
Pretty early on I established a connection with Gioele and Silvina. Also their history and chemistry was undeniable.

I enjoyed their shared history cause it’s what shaped them and it was also an important time of their lives. They were each other’s first love and I enjoyed how they navigated through that time. Their love isn’t accepted in their families and they try hard to respect their family’s wishes but when Gioele and Silvina have a love that’s as intoxicating as theirs is pretty damn difficult.
The action and suspense was fabulous and I was at the edge of my seat. Especially when Silvina was put in harms way. That and Gioele’s powerlessness and frustration over the loss of his love was captivating reading. His relationship with his brother Isaias only showed how deep their love runs.
Again Sunniva Dee surprises and ends Regretfully Yours on a high. This isn’t your usual mafia romance and I commend the author for never playing it safe.

I’m not going to lie, I ain’t cut out for taboo reads and since it’s a Mafia one, (which I get a kick out of these alpha males)😂 this book I think is another first for me by this author is so surprisingly good. It’s dark and graphic (yep not me) but Gioele and Silvina their chemistry is so intense that you can’t help but feel for him and this book will draw you in and won’t be able to put it down but I did wonder if what Gioele wanted to do was even necessary, like seriously porn 😂 where the heck did that come from and I found it a little too much. However, I love how he’s so angry, intense and manly but boy he loves hard, especially when it comes to his Silvina, his brothers, his friends and his familia. You think you’ll be expecting a crazy and twisted story, you’ll definitely not expect who what or why it is until you just keep reading and then, it will make you wonder whether the crazy will end, oh and that surprise well let’s just say, I never expected it.

You know the saying, “Expect the unexpected?” Well, this should be Sunniva Dee’s tagline.

When I start reading a book, it’s common to get a general understanding of how the story will unfold. Of course, there are twists and turns along the way to keep things interesting. This author takes those curves and dips to another level. Like zoom out of this universe, flip upside down, and take off in the opposite direction.

I’m in stuck in a state of awe. How did Sunniva pull this off? She lead me down an unfamiliar path, and I knew certain aspects were coming, but there was always another layer hidden. Just when I got my mind wrapped around what was happening, another mysterious piece was shoved in the puzzle. She weaves an extremely intricate web that I couldn’t replicate in my wildest dreams. There are several storylines intersecting, which makes her flawless executive even more spectacular. Honestly, I’ve never been quite so surprised while reading a romance. It’s extremely inspiring and adds a thrilling element I usually don’t get with love stories.

Gah, Gioele is so frigging amazing. His passion is off the charts. Not just toward Silvina, but life in general. He exudes so much confidence and power, stomping around town like he owns it. The conflict festering inside of Gioele breaks my heart and gives him a redeeming quality he doesn’t even need. He’s complex beyond belief and I was extremely impressed with his character development.

Silvina is the soul behind this epic journey. She gives purpose and meaning where there wouldn’t be otherwise. Her meek personality spoke of wisdom far beyond her years. There are really good reasons why Silvina keeps her chin tucked and as the secrets spill, my curiosity transformed into admiration. Her character is truly special and it’s not shocking that Gioele is crazy for her.

It’s official—Sunniva Dee is the queen of unconventional, forbidden romance. She’s turned something controversial and questionable into a seriously steamy topic. I dig it. A lot. She’s opened my eyes and mind, allowing me to see love from a new angle, and I’m so thankful. Sunniva has twisted me all up, in the best possible ways, and I can’t wait for more.

An emotional engaging and memorable story.
Format: Kindle Edition

I love taboo/forbidden stories, it's my favorite genre of books . I have read a lot of them but very few are written with the emotional ,observant, thought-provoking and meandering ways that this author did in Regretfully Yours.

This story is very intense, thrilling and very passionate ; with well developed , magnetic, and likable characters . Sunniva Dee has created a compelling narrative of forbidden love in a mafia drama setting and has made a stunning and surprising book.

This is a new author for me and I am looking forward reading more of her books.

I received an ARC of this book for voluntarily and honest review.

"Every hour of every day."

I always have mixed feelings when it comes to starting a new Sunniva Dee novel. I'm bouncing with excitement to dig-in, and at the same time, scared to turn the next page because she always throws a brain-bender at me and I never know when it's coming. She never fails to deliver, and I never finish one of her books without taking some of it with me. They are very eye-opening and thought-provoking, and many times scenes will play over and over in my mind long after I turn the last page. I wish I could tell you what movie is running in my head right now, but I can't. You'll just have to jump in like I did, and hold on tight, you won't regret it.

Silvina calls him 'my bane' ...sigh. 💔 When they told her she couldn't have him, she left him and tried to forget him. She decided he was a, "soul-wrenching always-love I'd decided to live without." Obviously, that didn't work out well for her, he's unforgettable...

He's the younger brother of Isaias who I met in Indiscretions of a God. As sons of Il Lince, they are never free from the mafia in spite of their decision not to embrace that life. They are close to their famiglia and therefore get pulled into the drama when any of their lives are threatened. When there is trouble they are summoned, then they gather the women and go into alpha protective mode. But sometimes trouble finds them first.

"Age doesn't matter when it comes to love." He knew that Silvina was the one from a very early age. When she left, she took his heart with her. When he saw that she was moving on with her life he decided that the adult entertainment industry had more to offer than college. When Isaias refused to hire him, he got an audition with his competition. Do you see the pattern here? For every 'no' he was going to find a 'yes'.

Silvina tried to outrun love, but he followed her. She might consider him the bane of her existence, but at the same time, his presence comforted her. She could feel his protective shadow and if anyone threatened or flirted with her they felt his wrath. He did everything he could to keep her safe, but their enemies found her. Now that she's been kidnapped and she might not ever see him again will she regret the time they lost when she walked away from him?

What a heart-wrenching tale Regretfully Yours turned out to be. Love should never be a regret and when it is felt and cannot be expressed it's even painful for the reader, much less the lovestruck couple with the broken hearts. I'm rubbing my chest even as I type this review. The author made me feel so many things. I smiled & frowned, giggled & glared, hoped & worried, melted & froze, and I loved & hated. My emotions are a hot mess and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I don't know if this was the last we'll see of the famiglia or not, but I sure hope it isn't, there's another cousin that I'd love to spend some more time with. Regardless, I look forward to whatever the author has for us next. The line forms here...

I have never read ANYTHING like this!

And I'm a book blogger; I've read lotsa books, but NEVER anything like this! And I wager you haven't, either. I'm, like, giddy that this book was so different from the norm.

This was one of those books I was OBSESSED with. I had this sucker in my hands every chance I had, even if it was a few minutes here and there. The suspense was so gripping, and I HAD to see how it ended.

I'll admit that I wasn't sure if I would like it in the first chapter. I wasn't sure how to react to Gioele and how he behaved with regard to Silvina, but I am SO happy I stuck with it. (Not that I would ever NOT read anything Sunniva writes...I LOVE her writing!!!)

Now, fair warning but no spoilers, there are several aspects of this book that are not for everyone. Though it takes a lot to ruffle my feathers and I, personally, wasn't bothered by them (I learned about one aspect extensively in several anthropology courses I took in college), I can easily see why some may take issue with things contained in these pages.

So, if you're looking for a sweet, low-stress "la-dee-dah" romance where everything just sorta clicks into place for the happy couple and the villain is likable and you can see the plot unfolding so predictably, this is NOT your book.

BUT, if you're looking for an extremely well-written dark, graphic, smoking-hot romantic suspense that pushes the envelope, then THIS is for you!

It does have a very happy ending, though :)

Have I mentioned I've NEVER read anything like this?! I cannot wait to see what Sunniva comes up with next! I'm SO excited!!!!!

(I read a copy of this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)

I'm going to share this with you, because I already shared with the author - I was worried about this book. I was concerned it would be a bit "Flowers in the Attic-esqe" with the nature of the relationship between Silvina and Gioele. I really should have known better than to doubt her.

There are themes and instances in this book which should probably carry a trigger warning - I mention that purely as a note of caution.

At first, I thought that Gioele was an arrogant, hypocritical ass. But as the story unfolded, he redeemed himself. And my heart just broke for Silvina. I thought that the challenging part of this story was going to be their relationship. I was wrong. There are points in this story that are very disturbing. But the way that the author handled both lead characters' responses to those events laid the groundwork for an outcome which would not otherwise have been possible.

Darkly delicious and deeply emotional, yet pitched exactly right.

I will simply end by saying that I think that this is probably Sunniva's best (and darkest) work to date. Loved it.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This book is different to what I expected. There are some dark themes, but I thought that it would be darker than it was. That being said, it was a very good book, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Silvina and Gioele are cousins. They are tightly bonded and have been practically since birth. When they were younger, it was OK for them to be so close, but as they got older and that closeness went from a tight bond to true love, it started to be more and more of a problem. But when they get caught, their parents and their family do everything they can to separate them and make Silvina and Gioele afraid of being together. It doesn't end their love though, and even years later, they are still fighting it.

Not only are our two star crossed lovers madly in love, they are also the prince and princess of a huge mafia family. When Gioele's father heats up a cold war with another family, everyone's lives turn upside

Like I said, this wasn't quite what I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised. Tehre were plenty of other surprises in the book that I really liked too. I loved how Silvina called Gioele her bane, but he always called her Ina mia, my Ina. It was such an intimate name. It can be read as a standalone, but there is a book involving Gioele's older brother which can give a little more background on the story.

No regrets about reading Regretfully Yours! I truly loved this newest book from the talented Sunniva Dee. Here she tackles taboo love in a close-knit Mafia family gracefully, lovingly and with exhilarating action. I was enamored with the story's young Mafia Prince, Gioele, from the get-go. He wore his emotions on his sleeve--so open and raw. It was impossible not to feel for him. The need to grab him and comfort him was resident in my head from the start. The action was edge-of-your-seat exciting and kept me turning page after page. The end came too swiftly for me, but nevertheless was very satisfying. I confess, I'd still like to grab Gioele and comfort him! If you haven't read this author yet, start NOW! Grab yourself some Gioele, hang on and let him tug at your heartstrings like he tugged on mine!

You know that feeling you get when you are strapped into a roller coaster and slowly make your way up the steep slope? That moment when you are momentarily suspended above a precipitous drop that encompasses twists and turns, rises and falls? Where your heart beats with anticipation and you grip on hard, determined to enjoy every thrilling, terrifying minute? Well, Regretfully Yours is just like that. A gradual, lulling start and then, wham! A nail biting gripping story of danger, of contrasting loves, of family, of obsession.
Silvina and Gioele's love for each other is beautifully portrayed and the plot galvanised me. This is a book not to be missed. A 5* read x

“I’m yours.” Regretfully yours...
“Cuore del mio cuore”...
What an amazing book... really.
It was action packed, as usual.
It was so full of love, as usual.
Nothing really surprises me anymore with this author.
In the continuation of the series of A Mafia Romance Series we have the story of Giioele and Silvina. Both from the Nascimbeni mafia familglia. Yes they are first degree cousins! But the live they share is a rare one.
Growing up together they couldn’t deny their attraction to each other.
The never ending rivalry between the two mafia families, the Nascimbeni and the Santal Colombini continues in this book with a huge twist. When his beloved gets kidnapped by the prince of the Santa Colombini Gioele goes completely off his rocker.

The love and faith this man has for his other have is mesmerizing. He NEEDS to find her like he needs his next breath. Cannot live without seeing his Ina Mia.

Totally love the way there is so much Italian in this book!
I hope that there will be more of the mafia romance series but the way this one ended maybe not 😞.

This author makes you feel every single emotion the characters are feeling. It is definitely one of her forces!
LOVED that my favourite team Tatiana and Isaias are in this book too!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

From the moment I met Gioele and Silvina I was absolutely enamored. The thing about Sunniva Dee’s books is that she doesn’t do ordinary. And ordinary-- Regretfully Yours is not. Gioele is fiercely passionate. A hot head, but his redeeming quality simply lies in how deeply and boldly he loves Silvina. The blurb gives you an idea of what the story is about so rather than give you a synopsis of the story, I’d rather discuss how this book made me feel. Go in blind. Expect nothing. Expect everything. The twists and turns of this unique and inspiring book had me frantically turning the pages. Exceptional in the complexity of the characters and the storyline. Exhilarating in that the author tackled such a taboo subject with grace and understanding. With its powerful delivery, she composed and delivered a narrative of loving the forbidden. Your heart will be broken, shattered, yet mended by their depth of their love all at the same time. Love is limitless.

You guys. This. Book. I was seriously on the edge of my seat. I was left breathless. I hung on to every word. Every. Single. One. I didn’t want to miss a moment. The author is brilliantly meticulous on how she executes her stories, especially this one. Regretfully Yours is expertly plot driven as the author weaves you through an elaborate and abstract storyline that has you guessing from one moment to the next as the story unravels. My heart is beating by simply talking about this! As secrets become exposed you will not be able to put this book down. No breathing or functioning. You simply want to live in this book. I was in the midst of the most intense, romantic and suspenseful story I’ve ever read. By far it was one of the best literary experiences of my life. The writing was unprecedented in its tone, profound in it’s articulation of a love off-limits yet unequivocal. The author allows you to live their love through their eyes. That despite the tragic circumstance of their love, their love is simply out of this world. A love that exists regardless of happenstance. A love that perseveres through the unthinkable. A love against family and the world. You are placed within the hearts of Gioele and Silvina. That is powerful. The characters not only narrate this story, but through their voices, they allow the reader to FEEL it. I finished this story on a high. The words, the characters. THIS story. It is another reminder of the sheer talent of this author and why she will forever be on my must buy shelf. Well done!

In this book we have Silvina & Gioele who are 1st cousins. Cousins who shouldn't be in love with each other. Cousins who are forbidden to be with each other, other than in a friendly way.

Gioele seems more of a college age dick. Someone who is always trying to impress others. Gioele knows he loves Silvina, although he's not sure of her level of love.

Silvina is in college working towards her degree. She knows Gioele loves her. She knows he would do anything for her. Silvina seems to have an allergic reaction to him whenever he presses against her. That's great! Gioele always tells Silvina that she just needs to let the love in and she won't have the reactions any more.

Gioele's brother still runs and operates a porn film studio movie industry set in California. When Gioele contacts him to 'try out' he is refused. Gioele goes to the competitors porn film studio in hopes to get a job with them just to defy his brother. Little does he know this will be used against him.

Silvina is in biology class with a boy, John, who keeps asking her out, just about daily. Silvina finally agree's to go out with him, but Gioele shows up and attacks him for putting a hand on her. Silvina begins to pull away from Gioele. She wants her space.

When Silvina & Gioele are called away to come down to the family punker neither want to go. Although it is part of being in the Italian family, that you go when they say you are now on lock down.

I found that occasionally I had some difficulty following along with the storyline. This book does have plenty of twists and turns to read through.

All in all, I did enjoy this but I've got a feeling this is going to be a love/hate thing for most.

Thank You to Ms. Dee for proving me with an ARC of "Regretfully Yours" of which I have reviewed voluntary. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Fates help the person or city that stands between a di Nascimbeni man and his woman. In the case of Gioele and Silvina a taboo relationship that is frowned upon by such a prominent mafia family. A love and relationship that was almost like a Romeo and Juliet tragedy.

Gioele has always loved Silvina in a way that made people question him. He is trying to live his life and let her fly. When he finally can’t stand enough he storms back into her life and it triggers so many events it’s hard to say if they are better off alone or together.

Silvina has always loved the bane of her existence. She wants him close but then in the same breath she wants to date and discover new people. A boy in her biology class takes notice and tries to woo the mafia princess. When she finally realizes that maybe Gio is a good fit for her tragedy strikes and it pits mafia families against each other.

I will admit I had a hard time with this one at first. The relationship between Gio and Silvina is taboo and frowned upon. I won’t give too much away. Just stick with it and all the secrets will come to light. We once again in true Sunniva Dee fashion we get to see some groups from books past. We get more of a look into the di Nascimbeni family and the Santa Columbini family. I will always trust Sunniva and her words and know that there is more to the story and ride the wave. I recommend all her books just read them.

Whoa, I'm not sure what I just read here, but I liked it. I liked it alot. I never know what I'm going to get when I dive into a Sunniva book. I'm always so excited to see what she has for us, but so leery of what kind of curveball she'll throw at the characters and the reader. This book is dark, disturbing and delicious. Sunniva hits so many buttons and by the end my head was spinning. It's not what I thought it would be about. The characters are so much more. The plot is wild and unexpected. The villain is truly horrific and Gioele borders a bit on the stalker side, which I loved. I wish we had more background between the main characters and the ending was a little abrupt. What happened? I want more! There's also the taboo aspect of their relationship that was handled very well and resolved itself nicely. This author doesn't shy away from putting her reader in uncomfortable and thought-proving situations. I was fortunate to receive an ARC and I don't want to give any spoilers. Best to go into this one cold. 4.5 stars.

Whew! That was quite the ride.. I haven't read many "mafia romance" novels, but this is exactly hat I would expect from one. Totally action packed from the beginning. The angst started so quickly in this book and did not let up until the very end. The forbidden love that these 2 share makes the reader feel so many things. I was seriously in love with Silvina and Gioele from the opening scene. I was not expecting for their relationship to be what it was. I thought it was a great story! I had a hard time putting it down when adult responsibilities drew me back into the real world... I had wanted to stay in their world. The twists and turns in this story kept me totally enthralled through out the whole book!

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wow this book is much more than I thought it would be, it definitely not for the fainthearted. We have Silvana and Gioele from a mafia family who live are away from home and away from the madness of the family’s business.
The big issue that seemed to be they are first cousins, and their feelings for each other are more like lovers. Silvana is trying to live her as normal as possible at college. I not judging anything, but it has never been taboo in England so it is harder for me to understand. I don’t want to give anything away, but that becomes the last thing she has to be worried about.
This so much more going on in this book, and certainly written so well you can feel all fear that Silvana has to go through. In fact the whole book is written so well, you are pulled into the story straight away. Then pulled through the ringer of emotions and then thrown out at the end feeling bereft. Even though we have great ending.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Regretfully Yours by Sunniva Dee was my first read by this author and I found myself completely engaged in the story. This is a forbidden love story full of suspense and taboo.

Silvina and Gioele were each other’s first love. They have a history that binds them and connects them but is also what separates them. Because their love is not accepted, they decide to move forward without each other. But their love is strong and when Silvina is taken, Giole life’s is turned upside down.

Giole feels powerless in helping Silvina. She is his world and wants her back. He is strong, protective and determined. His love for Silvina is fierce. Silvina wants Giole, but to respect their families wishes, she leaves and takes his heart with her. He was always her protector. Her one and only. But danger always follows this family and when it hits too close to home, can they save her in time?

Regretfully Yours was full of twists and turns, full of regrets and secrets. This may not be for everyone, but the story is captivating and engaging and worth the read.

The love between Silvina and Gioele started when they were young and was so strong. When they discovered as cousins their relationship was forbidden, Silvina fought them being together. When danger strikes and something happens will it tear them further apart? I am a huge fan of Gioele and his love for Silvina. Never giving up on her, he will do anything to save her. I really enjoyed their story and their determination to survive and have a HEA.

Gioele loves Silvina since they were little, she has been his whole world. Their love is taboo in 27 states as she points out to him several times, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Nobody loves a person as Gioele loves Silvina. Throw in the mafia as a theme in the book, dang I am sold.

Dee writes an emotionally charged book that will make you rethink your beliefs. I hope Dee writes more in the mafia series as I will be reading it.

This story is so beautiful.

It was passionate, It was dramatic, and I loved every second of it.

Just when I thought Isaias could not be beat, in comes Gioele and his ruggedness and his heart of Gold (and for Silvina), and my heart completely swooned for him.

I loved everything about this novel. I was not bored reading it at all, and when life wasn't interfering, I was glued to this book.

Regretfully yours is a story that will grip you from beginning to end. It was mafia romance at its finest, and I loved it all!

Just wow , these two Gioele and Silvina do not have it easy their love started when they were young and their families did not approve so they tried to stay away from each other but then she is put in harm's way and we all know how alpha men are when their lives are put in a bad place .
The action, suspense and the love in this book make it so worth the read.

This book certainly had me on my toes. Im not sure where to start. It was different. Some parts were funny, some sweet, and some full of action. I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad for the twists and turns, because I wasn't sure how I felt about the cousin thing. overall, I really liked it. I wanted to keep reading,to see how it all played out. Another unique Sunniva Dee book!

Have you seen that episode of X-Files where they find the sister-auntie-mother under the bed in a drawer and she's got no limbs cos of all the incest? That IS NOT RELATED TO THIS BOOK IN ANYWAY. Because first cousins is not incest. In fact it was encouraged and sometimes enforced only 100 years ago to keep all the dosh in the fam. Yup.
So I did not have a problem with this theme. However.
I did feel like this was all over the shop. There was the porn industry, mafia, a bit of underage fondling, some dual POV, kidnapping, cheating, bit of rape, some odd conversations in an underground bunker, facetime in a planetarium... I could go on. I love Mafia themed books. The stress, the serious themes, murder, dead horses in beds - i love it. This one kinda hit the mark for me a little but there is a lot of writing potential here because some of these scenes - particularly the kidnapping ones - were actually sparks of awesomeness.

Mafia romance explosion!
This story will send you reeling! Sunniva Dee did her job fantastically as an author. I got terribly caught up in the book, and my emotions got the better of me. I'll be honest I'm not usually a violent person, but this mafia tale had me so stressed out, my blood pressure sky rocketed, and I was out for blood. M U R D E R!!!!! I wanted violent vengeance more than the the main character, Gioele. Get ready for a wild ride!
